These guys have needed a big break forever. Keep following them for a long time. Their club performances on the road blow everyone away....Hope springs...results...I hope.....They sure deserve it. I could listen to them all day, great foot stomping music!

Only discovered them yesterday but what a find. Disappointed to learn no UK tour but hope for future perhaps. I defy anyone not to keep tapping their feet (look at the band members).

Erika had no drum in the first years of singing with the band. She wore the drum lashed to her belly in 2013. From 2014 to the present, she has been sitting on it.

I like this band he remember me my own jazz period (1959 -1975) - I played tenor banjo, tuba, trombone, piano, guitar in Europe with nice New-Orleans Bands...From 1960 and still, I play lead guitars and worked as college music teacher (civil servant) period 1973-2003. Murray, These are the lyrics to "Kitchen Man" as sung by Bessie Smith (talk about double entendre!) . Erika sings this version with a few alterations. Listen to her while following the lyrics. +Murray Patterson It's not just your "down-under ear" alone. Erika IS intentionally "slurring" her words a bit, because that is the U.S. southern New Orleans / Mississippi type of accent, especially by the great blues singers like Besse Smith, Memphis Minnie, or Merline Johnson, that she gets a lot of her material from, or even Hank Williams, from Alabama, who made "Lovesick Blues" famous. Their southern accents were actually much thicker, like Erika's "Frisco Bound" which was actually a Memphis Minnnie song called "Frisco Town". Erika's blues singing is unique, but she also incorporates a lot of the sounds of the original singers. Funny thing is that Erika is originally from upstate New York, in the northeastern U.S., where they don't have that accent at all !

Ma la preferisco nelle vesti cosi' modesti e quasi ingenui con una bella voce unica ed importante che ascolto sempre con piacere perche' vorrei capire se il su o canto e' veramente genuino e spontaneo o e' un po' professionalizzato. Se vieni a palermo ti offro un caffe'. Mimmo. Ti abbraccio.
