Fun Fact: Originally, this Remastered Boss Fight wasn't going to be in the game, but the dev decided the Tuba Archmage had a clone vat up in the high tower on the way to Tuba King, and so there it went.

actually when you download the new dlcs it gets retconned and shown to us that the archmage actually brought himself back to life and thats why you have to destroy his soul once and for all with the blade of forsaken instruments in the true ending and then kill his apprentices in the first dlc so they dont manage to bring a copy of his soul back to life

The tuba Archmage is perhaps the trickiest of foes one can come across, although he poses a slight challenge to those he first comes across, he is dispatched easily, perhaps too easily. Occasionally you can see him in obscure places and in crowds, always watching the player. He’s the mastermind behind the events that occur in the game, always pushing things into place for his ultimate scheme. A scheme that seems like only a simple goal for dominant power, but it is in fact, much much more than that. Much more important than what he wants you to see.

it was crazy when i found out this guy came back . i thought he was just the standard early game hard fight to get you really thinking but he plays such a great role all throughout and then comes back to kick my ass ??? legendary

I loved Tuba Warrior: The Opera Sings Again Edition When I saw the archmage again in HD, I cried so hard as I prepared for battle. So beautiful in modern graphics.

if you all play this at full volume it feels like the Archmage is FURIOUS with you and there is no running he doesn't stop attacking giving you no chance to catch your breath as you have to hope for luck and charge in at him as fast as you can

the original already sounded so good, how could this one be any better Listened: the orignal was REALLY GOOD, but this one fills way more like a boss, also sound alot better please make more, this is really awesome

The twist when he crashed the Isïndri’s wall and used the same attacks from the first game was shocking, when you blast him off with the D Chord of symphony but he sends a runic attack and sends you off of the castle walls, and the fight on the arch dragon was just. Incredible

you can tell how Giesler feels making this kind of music while reading the description giving yourself up to the people and their machine, their opinions and it's demands, can be a quiet tragedy starve the people of your blood and the machine of it's power don't devote yourself to fuel rather than art it is created from your mind and is one with it, protect it unnoticed, pride and beauty persist forever abandoned, the shallow dry up, the hollow crumble and rot

In this remaster ,this boss actually appeat randomly on the street and lots of weird side quest . When he sees you the pratoganist he will say "Trrrrrrummmmpeeettt channnnnn" and proceed fighting again.

My new headcanon for a game with this concept is as follows: When you were both 12, You and your brother go on an adventure in the woods. Time passes, and darkness comes. At some point you two are separated, you escape the darkness of the forest thinking your brother is following you, stepping out into the moonlight. You turn around and your face contorts in confusion. Your brother is nowhere to be seen, and that is the last time you will see him. Skip to 7 years later, and you set out on a quest to destroy an evil being that has been terrorizing the land. You fight your way through creatures the likes of which you have never seen, grotesque and mangled bodies that are cobbled together seemingly at random out of a multitude of animals and mutated bugs. Each one is bigger and more mutated than the last. That is until you come face to face against a seemingly humanoid thing that's covered in... Tubas? This one speaks to you, and sounds vaguely familiar yet alien. "You have come far to reach me. However, your journey ends here," it says, preparing it's weapon, a mouthpiece that has been lengthened and sharpened to a point, like a Rapier. (At this point, the first edition of this song plays) You battle for only a few minutes. It seemed as though you were winning. That was until a horde came hurtling over the horizon. The Tuba man uses this as a distraction and escapes. Skip towards the end of the journey, and you enter a dark chamber where only a single hanging chandelier lights the room. You could hardly see much in front of you. That is until you hear footsteps, and the sconces on the pillars of this circular room light up. The footsteps belong to none other than that of the Tuba Man. "We meet again. You know, after all these years, I'd understand if you didn't recognise me the first time. But you have no excuse now," the Tuba Man exclaims, circling around the room as you do the same. "What are you talking about?" You ask in response. "Is it not obvious, brother?" You gasp audibly. You see into the man's eyes. Blue. The same shade as your lost brother. "You left me in that forest to die!! I will have my revenge. Have at thee!" (This version starts playing) While you are confused, your brother takes the opportunity to attack. You only just manage to dodge backwards out of reach of his rapier, however you take a hefty gash across the chest. Your vision blurs as the pain radiates... (I shall end this here, but I hope you had fun reading)

Stats: Unlock by: smashing a tuba at the cult of memes. All members of the cult must be dead. He will appear from the tuba, feeling great release as he can finally be freed from his undeserved cage... He has gotten some gear in there, it seems. Level+items needed: Level 777, Fake Staff of the Tuba Phases: 3 Phase 1 stats 420 HP, 69 ATK Phase 1 attacks: Brass storm: Brass instruments fall from the sky, tubas do double damage. Default damage is 20 per hit and a 70% chance of concussion. High note: Plays the highest note of the Tuba, making players have a 30% chance to go deaf and cover their ears, making them unable to attack or move for 20 seconds. Tuba shield: Counter attack. Lasts for 5 seconds. If not hit during these 5 seconds, will be stunned until attacked 3 times. If hit during these 5 seconds, will smash tuba into players head giving them a concussion. 50 damage. Phase 2 stats and new attacks+passives: Passive 1, Brass armor: +20 DEF, +10% chance of recoil for melee weapons, but makes 10% chance for arms to be unable to move during a spell. Passive 2, Shield of Sound: Any attacks involving sound will be reflected and make the user of the attack deaf for 5 seconds. Stats: INF HP, 144 ATK New attacks: War cry: Summons the Tuba King and his chorus of strings for a minute. Chorus members DO NOT respawn when retreating then coming back. Tuba King stats: INF HP, 200 ATK Chorus stats: 1 HP, 20 ATK, 50 Population. Upon killing the chorus, phase 3 will activate. Phase 3 stats 1666 HP, 50 DEF New attacks: Chorus souls: The dead souls of the Chorus shall throw all of their string instruments at you. Violin: 5 DMG, Viola: 10 DMG, Cello: 20 DMG, Bass: 50 DMG. Kings blessing: The king will bestow upon the Staff of Music for half a minute. During this time, there is a 5% chance every second to make every player deaf for 2 minutes if close enough. Upon effect end, all players go deaf for 15 seconds. Loot: Tuba armor: 2% chance, gives +350 DEF (type: chest armor), Tuba staff: 5% chance, send 3 tubas at your enemy which explode on impact. Tubas have 20 ATK and 10 ATK for explosion, but will decrease in stats by 30% for the next 2 tubas. (type: side spell)

Phase 2 description: The king and his minion army, The Chorus have seen what you were doing against The Tuba Archmage, And with the war cry they shall come to help him. Oh boy. Now look at what you've done. You start feeling regret and want to turn back. You realise it is not to late to make out, but the beast inside holds back your true feelings... You will never escape it's wrath, and nobody will know. With a dirty, mischievous voice... A message through your heart from the beast tells you... "Don't worry, friend... YOU CAN WAKE UP ANY TIME YOU WANT!" Phase 3: The beast has taken control of you. You can no longer think your own thoughts. Behind The Tuba Archmage, who has a grim smile on his face, all of the Chorus is rooting for not just The Tuba Archmage, but this world's freedom. Why am I going so deep with a dude with tubas as his armor and a plastic staff?

Honestly? I think you should have done it like the beginning of the April fools video, I think putting that weighty feeling would be great. Though of course this version is good in its own right, it has a certain finesse to it that goes well with the rest of the song. Maybe try a version that goes heavy on the drums though as I said.

Long before time had a name, the first tubatzu master created tujago, using four elemental instruments, but when he passed, a dark presence threatened to collect them all, lord tubadon, so him, archmage wu, sought out to find three ninja to collect the rest first.

What that middle tuba for🤨📸

after listening to both the original and remastered version of this theme, I find the remaster kind of sad. The once playful yet serious symphony of the original version has devolved into a cacophony of anger and confusion, as if the archmage is being forced to relive a moment of betrayal. It's like the main antagonist has rewrote or "remastered" how the archmage sees the protagonist. What was once a friend and rival since childhood, now sees you as a traitor and cold blooded killer.

Meaning what?

I'm actually really sad that speedrunners found that forced movement glitch in the precessional hallway before this fight. One of the best and most enjoyable bossfights I've played in the last five years and now nobody actually fights him anymore
