Tu Teng Yao is the master of Wing Chun and is currently the influencer of it. He is from southwest China and is currently the head of the Chongqing Wing Chun Association. Some of TU TENGYAO local works. Training the Flight attendants. That wasn’t a rumor at all. In 2014, Southwest airline college signed a deal with the Wing Chun master Tu Teng. That he would train their flight attendants to the best of Wing Chun. The Airline college added that Wing Chun is a very good close-combat martial arts, and it will be best in the airplane’s confined places. In 2015, he eagerly trained a whole college as a part of China’s Counterterrorist training. He trained a college filled with 20,000 students. Thanks to this large scale of Wing Chun training, they also made a record. And you know what record I am talking about: The deadly famous Guinness World Record. Now you would know that this was not some online article. The fact should not be ignored that nowadays China who is the origin of many different martial arts, is now counting on Tu Teng Yao.

I don’t think an mma fight is necessary. I think full contact fighting like boxing,🥊 with gloves and headgear for sparring, would be more interesting. Just standup styles, punch, kicks, elbows, knees, with some throws, holds, judo etc would be exciting for a “mma standup style” league.

I've watched this three times before this comment. People who say WC doesn't work in a real fight need to see this. People who train in WC need to be inspired by this. This Si-Fu trains to be an effective fighter, watch the areas he strikes (numerous times), how he protects and attacks the centerline, use of short-range power hitting through the target. The movements on the Mook Jong. I would warn about certain strikes using palms, pick areas and angles that won't risk damaging the wrist, slowly build up speed and power to reach this level. Deepest respect to you, you've inspired me to continue my learning.

True but remember real combat is kaos and what comes out depends on what comes in ,,it's messy and kaotic ,,thats why instead of sparring ,,drill your one step techs a million times ,,a little bit of sparring it good but as soon as it becomes out of control ,reset and start again ,,do it so many times that your deep body learns more than your mind ,,when i ever have exchanges my body reacts on its own and my mind just watches without any anger at all ,,dont use anger ,thats bad ,cos once you get hit a few times your anger leaves your body and when that happens what do you have left to get your power from ,,be completley empty of anger ,don't think ,just do ,,power comes from internal body structure ,explosive power comes from being loose and destruction happens when you take the opponants space ,,2 things cant ocupy the same space ,,bridge the gap and stick like glue and go through your opponant ,dont dance around ,,if the opponant wants to dance around then let em ,they will come in when they want to fight ,dont chase ,,,we are conter fighters ,;let the opponant come to you ,dont fight his fight ,make him fight yours ,being a counter fighter doesnt mean we are the 1st to hit either ,it means we are the 1st to land a hit ,,be 1st ,be fast ,be explosive and be effective, move a little and get alot

I am no master of any martial arts but in my opinion I believe that wing Chun is a system that was created for self defense and not for competing in a sports combat such as MMA. Example: getting bullied at school or at a party and the bully attempts to aggressively walks up and invade ur personal space trying to rough u up. It's the only time techniques like wing Chun will work affectively is when u are aware of the situations and u execute the moves while ur attacker isnt expecting that u would counter his attack.Practicing and training will help u execute these moved properly and affectively. I am 69 and have been training in martial arts since my mid-teens, 12 years of Wing Chun under sifu Joseph Cheng, 5 yrs of amateur boxing winning 10, drawing 1 and losing 4 fights, I achieved a 3rd dan in TKD and trained in Judo for several years. Relaxation and breathing are the keys to being a great martial artist( As well as regular training of course) I have met many great martial artists along the way coming to understand it's more often the man than the art that makes greatness. From what I have seen of this man he is a great exponent of his art, ( By the way, in my opinion, the art that will make you a competent fighter in the shortest time is boxing) I also think the most overrated martial artist in history is Bruce Lee although through his films he had a great influence in spreading the word about martial arts and encouraging many to start training. I myself started training in Wing Chun under Sifu Cheng a couple of years before Bruce Lee films hit the west, our club had around 15 students before this and nearly trebled in size afterwards although around half of the new students dropped out once they realized how long and how much effort was involved in learning martial arts!

I watch it over and over. I started kenpo in 1976. I have practiced every day, so I am able to learn fast. Learning does not stop. I study 7 different styles and write kata and drills no one has ever seen. I am innovative.I spent 6 years with #1 kata man, sensei Kennedy,(1976 to 1982). I learned a lot from sifu Moses Williams (1984). Hung Gar animal forms.I always find good teachers.I like to instruct.

No disrespect to the master. He,is possibily among the most dangerous masters of Wing Chun. But, the ferousity that he attacks his students (no amount of padding is enough) they could end up in the hospital or worse. He is the only one I have seen use the deadly elbow strikes. Many masters will not let students practice this strike. Again this is a great master of the art.

It's not about, that some MMA Fighter might beat him in a real Streetfight. But this Guy is a living Ip Man. 90% of any human has no chance against his technique and he could defend himself and others against the most Attacks. It's not about to be the best. It's about the way of living and mental strength. I think if it's not for the fight who is the better one, just for self défense purposes he could beat the best MMA Fighters in the World, just for a second laying them down with one of these powerful fast combos. Enough time to get away and avoid a fight. That's enough.

Tu teng yao is one of the best martial artists I've seen on youtube. It's been a lifelong dream of mine to learn wing chun, my grandfather (lightweight boxer) talked about it non stop. Showed me every bruce lee movie there was when I was a kid. Ever since about 6 or 7 years old I've wanted to learn but sadly I live in America. The only two martial arts that they even teach where I live are tae Kwon do and mma, both of which are only taught for exercise or competition. Sadly. But no proper chinese martial arts are taught anywhere that I've heard of or found

I like his approach. It's not that he's the ultimate master. He's just one of the few "internet available" wing Chun guys who uses the "concepts" in a realistic way. Truthfully speaking most of the moves in Muay Thai are in wing Chun, but very few "internet wing Chun" guys have the common sense to throw a knee. Or use the plethora of situations that can be created by the ambidextrous footwork. Internet wing Chun is super rigid. I like his representation of the style.

@@WingChun108 In total I learnt Wing Chung for 7 years. My grand master was William Chung My Sifu was Rick Spain I also had the pleasure of meeting and training with Wong Shun-leung on two occasions. One thing about Wing Chun. I have only seen a few people who have a very good stance. In my opinion few have mastered each & every technique before trying wanting to learn more. I did learn 12 sets of the wooden dummy but I had to accept the fact I could not effectively apply all I had been doing, so I stopped. Its ridiculous how quick judge one style against another. Asking a Wing Chun master to fight with gloves on is absurd & anyone who knows anything about Wing Chun knows it. I have yet to see a good Wing Chun fighter in MMA. Its not because Wing Chun is not effective. I know as do you but why dont we see it ?

I did a lot of Wing Chun years ago. The first couple of reels I saw I didn't think it was real a Wing Chun tour of duty. Then found out he's the real deal the result of many years and lots hard training he's seriously scary.
