TTL Nerd | Pandanggo sa Ilaw (Philippine Folk Dance)

Ойын-сауық

We had fun learning this one... :)
Pandanggo is a Philippine folk dance which has become popular in the rural areas of the Philippines. The dance evolved from Fandango, a Spanish folk dance, which arrived in the Philippines during the Hispanic period. Two of the most popular versions of Pandanggo, as a performing art, are the Pandanggo sa Ilaw (fandango with lights) from Mindoro and Oasioas. Pandanggo sa Ilaw, which originated from Lubang Island, Mindoro, involves the dancers performing while balancing lights.

Bravo/a👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽The youngsters were very graceful & I cud feel how they enjoyed dancing & seemed dignified & proud to represent other aspects of themselves tho they are probably born & bred in 🇺🇸. I so enjoy folk dance of many nations. They used to teach American folk dance too in elementary I don’t see that anymore; heard even in Phil not teaching as in past. Suggestions 4 future: 1-dim lights. 2-You r strong 2 b authentic but girls can cheat by using hairstyle like indented bun or circle of hair or hairpiece on top of head in which to place candle. Some cheat totally with headbands w attached LED candles! Lol. Then the really teeny children can learn/perform 👦🏻👧🏽Thanks 4 the work dancers, salamat 4 posting !
