Tteokbokki Pasta
I was craving Tteokbokki but was out of Tteok (Rice Cake) unfortunately... However, I did find some pasta in my pantry so I wanted to see if I can substitute Tteok with it.
Ingredients
Rotini: 100g
Eomuk (Fish Cake): 2 Sheets (?)
Cheese (Parmigiano Reggiano): ?
Green Onion: 2
Gochujang: 1 Tbsp
Soy Sauce: 1 Tbsp
Water: 700mL
Gochugaru: 1 Tbsp
Sugar: 1 Tbsp

This might be better with gnocchi! That's much chewier than pasta - you'd get a closer tteok texture from it.

If you don't have tteok you can also use gnocchi, I tried it and I think it's better than tteok XD

Made this recipe, but quadruple the pasta. My sis says salt is needed when boiling the pasta, as the salt from the soy sauce isn't enough to flavour the pasta.

I used cheese (salty) for that extra saltiness! But yes, you can add extra soy sauce or salt if that’s what you prefer!
Any suggestions for what a vegetarian might use in place of the fishcakes?
