What i miss the most is the old formation screen Menu, and being able to see player positioning through a dot on the screen is far better than a 10.000 miles long portrait that covers almost 1/4 of the field. The Master League League's fictional leagues from Division 4 to Division 1 with random teams from all "real" leagues, the latter of which could be added as an option to playing the Premier League or any other league on Master League. A master league with no regens ( i think young players were random ? ) , no chemistry to worry about ( anything that alters the game for you through this system is impairing you, doing in my opinion more harm than good . Unique soundtracks like in the old PES games, which would save them tons of money, rather than getting a handful of not so well known songs that get really annoying after two or three listens. And last but not least. being able to play a cup friendly game if i want. Not everything is a friendly match , which is the only option you have in exhibition on PES20.

In terms of presentation look at RedDeadRedemption details !!! look at how the player is detailed it's INSANE we want more details on the player waving kits waving hair 3D pitch green fresh pitch real tissue kits not paper hhh ..More details in the pitch and on the players the player movements (even crossing the ball needs a complete turn) this is a joke right .?! even heading a cross into the net is impossible !! Im not talking about the poor passing system though when it comes to shooting C.Ronaldo cant score goals from outside the box verses the sperman =the goal keeper . let me recapetulate : you cant score faraway goals * you cant dribble * you cant pass properly( the pass from toni kross to vasquez isnt accurate but comon) * collision system is a mess * the presentation is a mess * what else ! Konami needs to fix these to keep us playing the game .

Immy with PES 2020 I’ve found playing full manual gives things a more realistic effect and the scripting doesn’t play a part. Although I have had some of the most realist moments in this game it doesn’t feel as addictive as it could be still

Pes 2020 problems When u assign a pass to to a player the game literally plays it to wrong player on purpose The through balls are played incorrectly on purpose The ai takes away the ball with no effort even if your shielding the ball 99.9 PERCENT OF THE AI FREEKICK GOES IN EVEN IF YOU PUT A PLAYER IN THE GOAL(ITS JUST RIGGED TO BE UNSTOPPABLE) Ai continuously fouls your player but u rarely gets a foul for it 😪 Sometimes my cleanest tackles are fouls 😓 Not bashing the game been playing pes for years but they need to fix these problems, and somehow it’s still addicting 😂😂😂 I play (Superstar masterleague)

Totally agree regarding the free kicks! Giving a foul away just outside the penalty area is practically equivalent to conceding a penalty. Another I notice is you can't really play a long build up passing game as the game seems to have built in a system where if you keep passing, after about 7 to 8 passes you will make a mistake by either miscontrol or an intercepted pass. I think that's to stop a player keep playing the ball round at the back to time waste. Saying that I'm loving my West Ham master league save on top player. Superstar just seems to be unrealistic as worse teams play just like thee best ones with brilliant slick passes and no errors. Top player just seems to be a bit more realistic and more fun.

Konami replaced the arrows with the playstyles. It actually does make a difference - Box to Box midfielders run back and forth, Prolific wingers cut in, Hole players push forward and Creative Playmakers stay more static. This isn't to give them a pass though, this is certainly better and more control but as they marketed to more kids and casual players they had to dumb down the game. Now everything is about online so they'll never go back to this stuff - it's probably not even on their radar. Honestly, there needs to be a football game made for offline primarily, back when PES could focus on that it was class. Online has just polluted the football gaming industry.

Yes indeed, for instance, Brazil is frequently seen in different combination of team kit in recent years - 1. The common Yellow, Blue, White (top to bottom), 2. Blue, White, Blue, 3, Yellow, Blue, Blue, 4, Blue, Blue, Blue, 5, Yellow, White, Blue, 6 Yellow, White, White. In the older days, it is also common to see AC Milan and Inter inter-changing their home shirt with different shorts and socks colour, while more recently, Italy, France and Germany also pair up their home shirt with different colours of shorts and socks.

Let's be honest for a moment. If Konami made PES21 exactly like PES 6, no pass assistance, where tactics and build up play mattered, the modern PES player would throw a fit. They lost their shit for having to learn how to properly time tackles in the demo...

lol are we going to pretend the tackling system in the demo wasn't completely broken? The ref couldn't tell a clean tackle from a foul, it didn't have anything to do with skill.

@@sonicadv27 If you're the kind that just barges into your opponent then of course you're going to think the ref was broken. About 2 weeks into the demo and I was finishing matches with 2 or 3 fouls committed. If you had patience, weren't overly aggressive like 75% of the knobs that play online, you were bound to win tackles consistently. Your problem sir is that you lacked the patience to adapt your style to fit a realistic style of officiating. How's it feel now playing a game with no ref? It's funny how people constantly go on about how PES 5 as one of the best if not the best ever yet the game had the exact same refs as the PES20 demo...

@@justlloyd7881 or maybe, just maybe, we just disagree. I could also assume you just got accustomed to how broken the system was but it doesn't change the fact it's broken. Because it 100% is. There's plenty of video footage online to prove that, with fouls being given for clean tackles and completely reckless challenges being ignored by the ref, that demo fanboys seem to ignore as well. And don'r compare it to 5. In PES 5 you did have to position yourself to properly tackle, sometimes without even pressing the pressure button. But the demo for 2020 wasn't *at all* like that. It was just broken, end of story

@@sonicadv27 You have no idea what a broken system is. If it was broken, no one would have worked out how to make tackles consistently. Mere fact people figured it out after a few weeks of sticking with it proves there was nothing wrong with the game. There were errors but they were so few and far in between that one could easily forgive em. I played that demo online right up until December and my opponents online had figured out how tackles work. If you weren't rushing in like a blockhead, looking at what your opponent is doing, which way they'll turn, you'd easily win tackles. Saying the system was broken is the equivalent of saying a fighting game is broken because you were used to one where there was a one button mashing combo system and now it turned into a two button timing based system and suddenly you can't easily pull off combos while a good number adapted to the new system. You're basically saying the people who used their intelligence and adapted are in the wrong. Said this plenty of times, the average online PES player wants to play scummy football where you just rush into tackles without much consideration as to what you're doing then spam through passes as if there's no tomorrow. As I asked, no that there's no fouls, how are you enjoying the game?...

One thing I really miss that no one ever seems to talk about is the save states in free training. I could spend ages setting up different scenarios and eventually managing to finish off the moves with a worldy. Was a legitimate game mode in itself for me.

i'd say it had the best physics ever, but since the pes 2008 the physics grew increasingly fifa-ish both pes and fifa itself lol. No more incentive to play these games since then, Pes 4-6 with its physics really stood out from FIFA

I'm still playing PES6 almost daily! I've put so many thousands of hours in this game over the years :D

So I once found some pirated version that I've been using since. I guess since I have on dvd legally it it's not really illegal to use a pirated version? :P yarrr

One of the worst pes games. Most effective attacking option which everyone makes is passing through the ball from the midfield touchline. I know why people liked it. It was easy to play but so boring and repetitive

PES13 for ML was 👌🏾👌🏾 PES13 online was one of the worst ever. Almost everyone played the exact same way. 9 out of 10 matches were nothing more than through pass spamming and finesse shots...

One feature I would LOVE to see again, and it's so minor but PES used to keep track of the all-time scorers in Master League, would make for great fun keeping track once you got a few years in!

Oh my god, nostalgia kicking in. I remember I'd always keep track the total all-time goals and assists in Master League. Plus seeing some underdog up with the likes of Ronaldo and Messi is clearly something special for me. I mean, it'd be SICK if they implemented that, but by using REAL data based from the stats of the former season. Like, you'd see the leader board with Messi, Ronaldo and Pele with one of the highest scorers, and seeing this in BAL. That's too awesome

@@czakialczikemwi 2k would be very interestin. I think they would be really good early but as time went on they would be just as bad, if not worse than EA is (talk to anyone that plays 2k). But a side effect, Konami would probably get better because they wouldn't really be competing with EA anymore and they'd probably start putting more focus on gameplay to just hit that core group. 2k would be a really fun entrance into the soccer gaming world though - they would push the entire industry to get way better.

If i remember correctly, there's a feature in the Master League where we can keep track of our matches. Not just score, but deeper analysis. It keeps track of the score and results, who score the goals and in what minute, even the short diagram of each goals process! I badly miss this stuff.

When you play master league or so in PES 6. At the beginning of the match you see the rankings of both clubs in the league. It's such a little detail, but so interesting to see. I really miss that detail.

Brilliant game, used to get so engrossed in Master League back in the day. Think the old players was a big factor too, football in general has changed so much since. Personally I think for the worse but it was probably also down to having a much better imagination when I was younger that allowed me to enjoy this game more 😂

Nowadays titles are slow as hell which bore me to death even with game speed set to +2. we need arcady pes back again , screw simulation , and they need to improve the animations .

One of the features that I liked a lot on PES 4 was that you could look up your league statistics from the last 15 seasons in Master League. Now you cannot even see what you did last season.

The classic stats was miracle too.. every player have their own patterns such as the striker, playmaker, defender that trupy relates to the gameplays style

It's insane how many features PES6 has, that the latest instalment doesn't for absolutely no reason. It's just pure laziness. It's clear Konami only cares about MyClub for the $$$. I don't expect any changes for PES2021, just a new skin for the game. There's no reason they can't have the Home & Away feature, any of the crowd atmosphere options, any of the individual player options or set more than 2 advanced instructions. At 18:48 you can hear the crowd singing God Save The Queen too... Why is the crowd on PES20 nothing like this? Have we EVER seen Konami listen to ANY of these wishlists for the next PES? I can't remember a single time they have. On a positive note, would be cool to have some PES6 streams TTB!

There's a lot of cool patches, community of this PES is still alive !! Especially Patches with old school teams like 90's Euro Football, CL playoffs of 00-03 or Patches from Shah Ruud Deen, or the job Marlon Anthony is doing on KZread

Good to have you back TTB. My favourite feature was in PES5. When choosing the kits we had the option to change every part of the kit individually.

How come a game that's so old, actually looks more realistic in terms of player movement?

For me it has to be PES 2005. I remember back in the day we still played PES 5 even when 6 came out. It was a true footie simulation and it was more rewarding IMO

Yessir. I recently bought an old PS2 and PES 5. It's still brilliant. I couldn't even connect the PS2 to my new TV so after that I bought an old television as well :D. The players and teams were legendary around that time as well

This looks much more entertaining then pes 20, I love pes 6 remaster for pes 6 on PS4 will be good I play that 100% I don’t enjoy pes 20

This brought back so many memories. I don't know about a full series of it but the odd game highlighting little touches and play I'd etc but would be great

I miss training at the club house during the master league. I used to train a few min before the games to add a little bit of reality.

I miss pes 2006 still remember play it with my friend. Just wondeful absolutely priceless. The graphics is decent and so good. I still have it on my laptop

The chants always amazing back in the day, although it can be too noisy at times just because how loud it was. Also im hoping they bring back the crowd cheering when the ball is in the opponent area. That is the most hypest thing in old PES (at least during the PS2 era) The moment last defenders are defeated, the crowd will not stop cheering. Man, I miss that so much.

I've been playing this in lockdown and it still holds up. It just feels great on the pitch and the International Challenge mode is fantastic

I grew up with PES and i played literally all! And the 6 i will always remember because it was the best one for the gameplay but also for the fun, player fully skilled could do goal from the center of the field

I have two ideas for a series you could do for this masterpiece, there are patches for world tournaments like the World Cup,and the Euros, you could maybe play as England or some other team and try to get them to the final. Or you could just do a master leauge, I've never seen anyone on KZread do a master leauge with PES 6. Either way, this game is amazing in so many ways.

Yo guys, I am also considering getting this for my laptop. I'm used to console so do any of you know what I would need to get the game get patches such as this one (maybe older ones too 🤔) and a place where I could get the game downloaded? Thanks for your videos and glad to see you back! some amazing little things in the game that were way ahead of their time: - If you press a certain button in the tactics screen, It would show you the chemistry between players and it had an effect on the game play. - You can position any player anywhere and add defensive and attacking arrows (high-mid-low) as well as 8 direction movement arrows, Amazing canvas for tacticians. - In training mode, You can press (select) button and it will REWIND th last 3 seconds for you to re take the shot or re do that pass/cross that just happened..AMAZING! - The fans numbers level is brilliant, 2nd division games will have half full stands. - Kitserver was as good as sider now, So many mods.available including a camera mod. - Player and team ID was apparent, A dirty player or a nippy winger can easily feel different on the pitch. even goalies had personalities, Unlike newer games where it's sadly the same sequence over and over again regardless of who the team or player is. Where has it gone wrong...So sad!

I would watch a PES6 MU ML serie, but with an old roster from a season 06/07, 07/08 or 08/09. MU won the PL in all these seasons so the challenge would be that! :P

There is 1 thing missing thats still bogging me and I cant believe they still haven`t included it. Restart match option in Exhibition. Why they still haven`t included something so basic and obvious??? . So annoying I had to restart the match many times but I cant instead I have to go to main menu and do everything again including line ups. Wtf Konami.

I had this on PS2, my first ever master league game, one of my players went down holding his face. In the next game as the players lined up, he had a cheek mask. I thought it was such a cool detail that I would probably see 100's of times. I played about 15 seasons and it never once happened again. I believe this was also the game where if you won the master league, you got a star above your crest, my shirt was full of them and then I accidentally turned off my PS2 as it was saving and wiped all the data. It was far more fun than modern football titles. How is it that a PS5 game doesn't feel as good as a PS2 game. I want this exact game but with modern graphics. A remaster would be amazing.

Great to see you back! I love PES 6 and would love to see more of it. I've been playing PES 18 & 19 and am enjoying them more because I'm finally getting the hang of the AI after all this time which has made it more enjoyable. Having said this even when I play PES 2020 or other recent PES's nearly every year I still run a Master League simultaneously on PES 6, it is so much fun. With all that is going on it would be great if Konami made a remastered PES 6, polishing up the graphics and some of the animations just to freshen it up, that would be awesome. One market that PES 6 would be great for is Nintendo Switch owners, if the game is Arcady by today's standards Nintendo gamers prefer more fast responsive fun play over complete simulation. Once again with all that's going on I'd buy it in a heartbeat. For me one quick feature that comes to mind is the change player which gives you a quick sub option. Overall still the best game for me by PES, I've played it to death and it's still lots of fun.

The arrows / custom tactics where by far the defining feature I loved about PES 6. I also remember you could do this in FIFA 11. Two very good titles.Would be great to see this feature back.

These old games used to take into account stats and players "ID" way more than pes 19 and 20. In a sense from a gaemplay point of view they were way more simulative than modern stuff.

That's because they split stats up like they had a pass speed stat along with pass accuracy. So not everyone felt the same when passing.

I loved PES 4 and I still play it. The old games had that quick fast action paced fun that new football games lack

Very nostalgic indeed, I’d have loved it more if you played it with the real players from that era, and, although you did a great job commenting the game yourself, maybe letting us here the commentators would have been splendid. I don’t know where to start this. As a great, die heart football and Ac Milan fan, Pes 06 was the first football game I saw and played, at 9 years old. I think I was quite a daring man back then, because although blind since the first year of my life, I was sure I could play football and many other games by simply listening to the audio clues. And I was right. I could hold my own in regular difficulty; I could play well one level below ; and at beginner I could score as many goals as I liked. Really, when I first heard that intro, fans cheering, Trevor and Peiter saying those first words, I was in wow! I couldn’t believe that I would command one of the teams. It was mesmerizing and to this day, 16 years later, it remains as one of the most vivid memories of my life. Slowly but surely Pes turned -audiowise-, into a boring game. I recall it perfectly well that John Champion, the commentator featured in Pes 10, would say the same phrases, I mean totally the same phrases, as the commentators of 2006. One I remember is “It’s making a long run”; or “Looking for support…”. For that reason somewhere between 2010 and 2011 I turned to EA and FIFA. I grew up watching football in Italian and from 2009 to 2013, the Italian commentators, Fabio Caressa and Bepe Bergomi, were world class. They were able to capture their real commenting style, as much as a football simulation game allowed, but they really did! Then, while we advanced to Play Station 4 and now 5,; better ram, better CPUs and GPUs, FIFA also started to fail. I thought that 16 years from the first time I played the audio experience would have become more immersive; more real… but it wasn’t the case. I thought we would have seen some players fighting, getting nervous, over reacting, things you actually can find in pes 06, but they never appeared in the newer games; which like the football of our time that they resemble, are totally shit. The focus isn’t on the super passionate football fans. It’s aiming kids who can spend the money of their fathers and mothers to buy online cards and play ultimate team. They are totally dissolving the football they want to simulate. Anyhow, I’m super glad that I could do this during my childhood; I think I did play regularly until 2015, 2016. I was blessed with many friends who helped me memorize how many times you needed to press the arrow keys to find a certain league and team, or where to find this and that player on the bench; or the difficulty and time settings while initiating an exhibition / kick-off match. I enjoyed it all thoroughly, I loved it! Thanks for the video. #SEMPREFORZAMILAN❤️🖤

Seriously I want to thank you so much I have installed this on my pc and it has just been everything I needed and more. I've gave up with pes 2020 and football games and relied on rocket league for my football fix but this has blown me away. The gameplay so simplistic but so satisfying. You should ditch pes 2020 and play this instead man. How the hell is this still 20 times better than the new ones? You're right they should in list some modders make a pes 6 remastered. Leave the gameplay alone and just add pure features and do an update player pack every year they'd make a mint and rule the football scene again as all the fifa players would come back to for sure.... Yes. PES was a legend game ever by Konami. I wish Konami gets this great responsiveness in next Upcoming Series. PES 6 was really enjoyable now and then. PES2020 losses this and we really miss. But Konami listens to only Online players and not offline. So you and me can't do much here. Sad yet true

I do concur completely. I thoroughly enjoyed it daily back in the days, esp. the Master League. You can tell the difference in each player.

The lineup auto select was always important to set on especially if you were using random condition arrows. I think with line up auto select then the AI pick the best possible line up based on stats and form. If you leave it off, the AI line up just ends up being as it is defined in the edit mode meaning you could put a GK up front in edit mode and the AI team wouldn't change it.

PES messed up the transition to PS3 but they really lost their soul after 2013. I think EA going to hard to block them with licenses that year after a pretty damn good game in 2013 changed things forever. Also Seabass...

They lost their soul with PES18, when Konami started to focus on myClub. AI gradually declined to the point where it's pretty much stupid now...

@@justlloyd7881 Too much money in the online game. There companies are here to make money so I really don't see how it changes back tbh. Most people, especially the target audience of younger kids just want that kind of gameplay and action above all. Back in the day you had TONS of players that really wanted realism above all, now it's rare.

The one feature that I like to see come back: Lack of scription!

i remember playing this with my friends before fifa became popular. wed play with the giant dog heads, with double speed, and have the ball leave like a rainbow trail behind or whatever it was when the ball was shot. it was madness. it was fun, it wasnt even about winning or losing. but fifa came along and everything became a competition.

It makes me happy to see how much you enjoy this game

Same thing has happened with FIFA, been playing the late 2000s FIFA’s on my Xbox 360 and wow career mode is insanely detailed. Funny enough the player animations look more natural too, Frostbite engine doesn’t work on sports games.

I miss being able to edit your team kits in master league.

The one feature that was the best was in BECOME A LEGEND where you had to to good in practiceI and inpress the coach in order to make the first team.

I cant begin to describe the joy of playing this with 3 mates at the time. Must have lost months on it. Theres just a joy in games around this time that you just cant replicate. They seemed to strijecreally nice balance between being arcadey but with a sense of realism at the same time

I want you to play PES 13!

Fifa was much the same. Had some fun options, like the PES shop shown here, and Career mode was tenfold what it is now. The continued regression of these games is frankly offensive.

To be honest I hate AI the most, the moment they added AI into PES it just ruined the game, if you play on legend difficulty it's not realistic and if you play on superstar it's too easy.. and when you play Master League it's too scripted.. doesn't matter how good you are and how you dominate still all matches will be like Atletico Madrid with Diego Simeone defending all the time and getting away with 0-0 or 1-0 victory by just one shot on target.. and I started to get really bored of it especially that there is nothing to achieve when you win trophies and from one season to another it's just repeating it self...

Considering this is coming from my favorite PES KZreadr I agree 💯. Master league seems scripted at times and I don't even play Legend anymore haha. Just wish Konami would go back to the drawing board, get a new engine and fix this mess before PS5!

what year do u speak off? 2020 or so? cuz in 2006 and before i loved mastr league and it def didnt feel scripted.. and a lot of games i won 4-2 or ended 3-3 at top player i def couldnt keep a clean sheet.

Really don't get where you're coming from saying PES 6 was too quick? I don't think anyone ever said PES 6 was too 'arcadey' either, because you actually had tightly contested midfield battles instead of endless end to end rapid counter attack arcade football like most recent PES games.

​@@justlloyd7881 Lol, i'm voicing a simple opinion mate I don't think that qualifies as 'losing my shit'. I think it was quick in terms of responsiveness, but it wasn't fast end to end counter attack football like a lot of football games.

For me, it was the fouls that I remember most. Like it or not, fouls are massive part of the game and scoring from set pieces was such a joy.

Played all pes games since 1997 and this was definitely the best gane memory's

PES has been crap since they changed up the engine. I used to love the older titles, still play a patched version of PES 2012 sometimes it's sooo much more engrossing even now than the newer titles have been.

It's actually very nice.. If the graphics can actually fine tuned, and some of the stuff updated to fit their current games, it's a pretty decent game. I like how the players move but It just needs to be reduced a bit. I hope PES see this and realise some of the solutions to the problems they have can be found in their past. I love their game and your channel ♥

can i just tell you, this gameplay has been edited massively over the years, its a mod and not the original version, i have the original pes 6 and the gameplay is worse than this and is scripted

Pes 4&5 for me after them they went down hill

Pes6 is my favourite Pes of all time. What I miss the most is that I used to able to pass the ball to exactly where I wanted to, now I can be pointing upward and still pass the ball forward😤

Pes 1-6 were all amazing. My personal favourite was 5. Then I played 13 a lot. Since then it’s never been the same

Number 5 is a real piece of art! Much more than a footie game. PES 4 is also good, although more arcade, it's addictive and I don't think there is a game where you are as free to do everything you want. But PES 5's tempo is like music, inexplicable!

It's true my favorite is pes 13, but when I get bored of any pes I always go back to pes 6 which is wonderful, I've never played pes 21, how good is it?

Wow the ball moves so freely, no excessive unrealistic first touches from players. Shot speed is better than recent installations for sure.. Konami takes 1 step forward, 3 steps backward

I still have it on my Ps2, Pes 6 is my favorite Pes from playstation 2 era, I have all of them, but personally for me Pes6 will always have a special place in my heart, I also like it Pes 4 and 5.✌️

It is soo damn fluid and feels responsive... Simple and best pes.. also the individual instructions should be brought back... Very much needed

I love that older soccer games were fast paced and kinda arcady. For most those are still known as the best games. I don't like the ultra slow gameplay we have now I always have to up the sliders to have a good experience.

I really enjoy it, and the fans chants are amazing!

I love how the CPU passed the ball back to its defence to try build up from the back.

PES 6 was the best football game I ever played. Its gameplay was so slick, so neat, it felt so natural, so faultless. Aside from the gameplay, it had a lot of unique features that were lightyears ahead of FIFA. The celebration from when you won a trophy, the half-full stands from less important matches, injured players being carried out on a stretcher, the game showing substitutions taking place. Hell, even the fact that you could score a goal from an offside position, your player started celebrating, and then you are shown the linesman with his flag up. The level of editing was also better than FIFA's. And not only players, but you could also edit clubs, change the name, the crest, the kits, pretty much everything. It had its weaknesses, of course, you had very few teams compared to FIFA and the Master League never came close to matching the realism level of Career/Manager Mode. One could also argue that the graphics were less impressive as well. But overall, PES 6 was better than any FIFA and than any other PES game in my opinion.

Playing it on phone now and it feels great. The game was far ahead of its time.

Like how the game goes straight into the free kick without showing the actual offense. Nowadays gotta press buttons to start the free kick.

I still play PES 6 regularly, min 3-5 match everyday, from 2009 :)) and yes with original option files so i can play with all those legend on my Master League (Sheva, Zidane, Henry, Adriano, Ronaldinho, etc)

I truely love this series (and the rest PS2 PES series). FYI, the game fanbases are still active and they have their own online server (and shockingly we can play it with patch)
