It looks like it is a SE W72 with Hurst tops. Might be a rare find, Lucky Dog! If only it was a 4 spd

Cleaned up nice. Nice to see it in good hands. Yea the decal package is wrong for a SE plus lettering placement is not even close. Looks to be a original W72 Pontiac 400 with 220 hp. Nice!!! I had 79 TA original W72 400 4 spd . PWH engine. Heads were 6x4 s. Factory 4 wheel disk brake and 3.23 gears. 15x8 snowflake wheels. Owned it for 17 yrs. W72s are sweet, hope to see this 78 TA come back to life.

Beautiful survivor, absolutely needs to be brought back to its glory! And it wont take much upon initial look.

Has a four color bird and possibly a W72 and possibly WS6 hard to tell with Cragar S/S mags . Not bad for Wisconsin salted roads

Probably the w72. They were.much better. I had a 76 with base 400 it was a dog. Of course it neede exhaust manifold gasket,etc. 256 gear in the rear no 4 barrel vacuum etc

Might be an alright car when finished. I would lose those junk wheels and tires and remove the wrong chicken on the hood.

It's been repainted. The fender lettering was never that high. The bumper lettering was never on the pass side. Aftermarket door guards and rear antenna. Some s/e stripes are missing due to misplacement of lettering on trunk

Yes. It was repainted in 1995 and has a 1979 hood bird on it.

It is a W72. We did not purchase the car. A local customer brought it to us to get it running.
