    *Additional info:* The Stroke limiter also comes with a rubber ring in the box, which was not used during recording this minimizes the impact and sound on the limiter. (I did not mention the sound without the rubber as that did not bother me). The standard rod would benefit from the +100mm extension rod regardless of the added rubber. Timestamp 0:20 (before adding the stroke limiter you should add a rubber ring that is included, it is the same rubber as for the stone adjuster 7:08 which came pre-installed). The second minor thing to note is where the rod goes in when you set it in the parking stand it rotates with you when you park the abrasive but when you start using it again you want to position it back in the middle or you might feel a small resistance. Timestamp: 1:51 (the thing above my index finger). It is very minor but wanted to have it said (forgot to include it in the review). This concludes my review good solid system overall, I recommend TSPROF to include the extension rod of +100mm in the base kit especially if you mainly use it for kitchen knives. An Angle cube is essential and pretty much a must-have with the TSPROF Pioneer, add-ons like the L-attachment are highly recommended for long knives of 24cm or small knives (not needed as you and make it work without it but it adds stability and you can align smaller knives in the middle). In the case of kitchen knives, there is a small widening of the edge ie; a lowering of the sharpened angle depending on how long the blade is and away from the center. Therefore I prefer the heel part more towards the center as the widening of the tip area of kitchen knives is ironically a + as in I prefer it that way for kitchen knives since it is beneficial making it cut smoother for a more precise task with the front area of the knife. (You can compensate for it but in the case of kitchen knives I recommend it as is and keep the heel more towards the middle, not that noticeable with short knives). No opinions on this product with Pocket knives, I reckon it works even better for it but since I primarily do kitchen knives on this channel I have no experience with this product on a wide variety of pocket knives. The only pocket knife I have is the Victorinox Huntsman, and I mainly use the scissors and screwdrivers on it.

    may I ask what length was the knife in the video? Tsprof site says 10” knife is the Maximum length. I have an 8” 10” 12”, wondering if the sharpener would be able to use for them length.

    It actually DOES matter if you pull or push, especially with coarse stones. A pushing motion on coarse stones (200 grit or so) will cause tiny microchipping that you can only see with a loupe (around 100X). Pulling doesn't do this, and leaves a finer edge. But you might want that microchipping since it gives the blade more "bite" allowing it to go through slippery surfaces like tomato skin more easily. Pulling will also raise a burr faster.

    lol xD, There is indeed a slight deviation of the angle widening at the tip depending on how long the knife is. You can compensate for it but in the case of most kitchen knives, it is quite nice to have a lowered angle at the tip area. Limitations for bone cleavers are on the extreme side but have to be mentioned as the system can't go beyond a certain angle for a certain knife length and width (so bone cleavers and dual-purpose choppers are out of this system range, Vegetable cleavers ''Cai Dao'' should be fine in most cases). As of right now, the rod is in most cases in my opinion on the short side for anything with a width over 35/40mm. (so the add-on extended rod of +100mm should be in my opinion included in the base kit to make the sharpener viable for most standard kitchen knives, as I found the stroke limit on some cases too short). I don't do pocket knives on my channel but, I can see the standard rod doing fine for those knives. Also, extremely big commercial-use bone cleavers by Asian butchers won't fit the clamps as those do go over the max widening limit of the base clamps in my case 5.3mm spine thickness barely fit. Overall good system, but the plastic parking stand is the weakest link in the system (It might be user error as I tried to replicate it falling when recording it just does not happen unless I sharpen a few knives at the same time with the stand falling on some occasions, but the wear and tear are visible on the bottom of the plastic) the rest is built very solid, as in I don't see it breaking at all. I also don't recommend anything with a length over 24cm (and even for this the add-on +100mm extension rod should be included to make it more viable for kitchen knives). Surprised that they reached out and wanted me to review the system knowing I mainly review kitchen-related products/knives. But also surprised that the system ironically works as a benefit in terms of widening the sharpened edge ie; lowering the angle at the front without you doing anything is beneficial for most kitchen knives (you can limit the effect by compensating for it or positioning the knife differently with the clamps but as you said it is unavoidable depending on how wide and long the knife is without compensating for it).

    @@Jeremy33199 Haha, ironically, despite the joke, you're actually right though! LOL. But yeah, good engineering and ideas. Can't say much about what to change for that price range. The more expensive models have one of the changes included, like how they dial in the angles with a single hand. With the Pioneer, you need two to set it.

    I respect your opinion, but I don't support the war. War knows no winners and brings suffering to everyone. Hatred only creates more conflict and pain. I don't hate the Russian people; they are also victims of Putin's dictatorship, being silenced and forced into actions many don't want. Those in Ukraine are suffering greatly due to the invasion, while many countries are gaining political favors due to the war.
