I'm on a mission to create new art for my living room and I'm trying to figure out colors and styles. This is a sample project while I try to figure out what I want to do!
The paints used were purchased from Walmart. They aren't as opaque as I was hoping they would be (especially because these cost more than brands like Apple Barrel which I do enjoy as well), but after multiple layers I was able to get solid color down. I also went with using a gel medium under the paints to help give the entire piece some texture.
The background being gold leaf is something I hadn't planned beforehand -- after I got the splotches down I realized I had no idea what I wanted the background to look like and decided to be a little gaudy and just make it all gold.
