They used to go around shaming men for avoiding the draft, handing them white roses to signify that they were cowards. They also were the driving force behind prohibition, which caused no end of problems (including a lot of deaths, mostly men), and used to go around smashing up bars with their little feminist groups. The idea that feminism started out as this noble, oppressed, righteous movement to end some tyranny over women (which didn't really exist) is pure fiction and a total retcon of history.

I was doing entirely heavy manual labour, lifting boxes of over 20Kg over head height for around 5 hours of my 8 hour shift every day and driving forklifts and loading wagons for the remainder. Did those women want to do my job? Of course not. They wanted the same pay for standing or sitting at a desk and packing products into bags for online sales. Sorry but if those women actually wanted to do the same job, they'd have been paid the same money as me and a few other guys. That's not fighting for equality or equal pay, that's fighting for favouritism towards women and equal pay for less work. Sad reality is, many women out there argue this and say they should still get paid the same because they work in the same industry...
