When you apply too much foam do not place the extra product on the top of your hair because this sometimes will lead to a hardening and setting affect so just squeeze out the extra and use it on the next section of hair you will be styling immediately afterwards.i hope that makes sense❤

The curl maker is definitely my favorite gel! I use it directly on my hair as my leave in, then the African pride gel on top! Chef's kiss! Definitely because of the amount of humectants, and your climate... I'd definitely recommend drying it completely. However, you can definitely see your technique is improving.

Yeah that wash and go was a bit crunchy now that I’ve tried this combo I’m like wow this is an ideal feeling. I loveeee soft hydrated hair! My friend told me using a leave in instead of a mousse might help with the stiffness

I just tried the AP prepoo recently. I see why the gworls love it!

Hey! I love that you’re becoming a wash ans go girlie!! I would recommend that you watch Rosie Amelia’s videos on wash and go’s to perfect your technique so you get a more elongated and longer lasting set. She has similar hair. Your hair is so beautiful ❤

Hi KandidKinks ... Your hair looked cute ... looks like you are getting the hang of the wash n go. I am currently liking this combo .. the Doux Big Poppa gel as a base gel and a very light layer of Alikay Naturals as a topper gel.

When you do your 2nd wash and take down your twist, YOU CAN PUT THEM IMMEDIATELY IN QUADRANT TWIST OR LARGER TWIST OF YOUR LIKING, if your hair tends to tangle up right away when shampooing, this is a good way of keeping them in twist but not as small so you can get that thorough cleanse you want❤❤❤❤

@@KandidKinks washing with twist doesnt work well for me either. As long as my hair is not tangled and i keep my hair elongated as best i can while shampooing im in good shape. My conditioner better work a miracle as well.

Loving the convenience and am having fun with my hair again

It looks great, when I do my wash n gos I band my hair. I actually like the dents I feel like it adds definition. I don’t pineapple it because I feel like it makes it lay flat on my head lol but my hair isn’t as long as yours either. Another thing I do is restyle on day 3/4/5 either one lol on old hair. Just use your spray bottle wet your hair go through again with the product. Maybe just the gel not both, the definition goes CRAZY!!!!

You wng looks amazing. Curl maker can be a little flaky. Maybe trying using is as a base gel and then using the mousse over it.

It came out really nice. I was surprised because I have that mousse and really didn't like it - my hair was kinda sticky. Maybe the gel on top made the difference?

It was a bit sticky when I did a rod set but the gel took care of that for the wash and go

Your hair looks gorgeous. I think you should give the doux foam another try. It really does have a firm hold but your hair can’t be soaking wet. Let it air dry in twists for a little while and then apply it to damp hair. You don’t need to use it with a gel but if you absolutely want to use a gel, apply it first and then the mousse on top.

@@KandidKinks Oh no, not Big Poppa 😂 Not that gel 😂 Maybe a more moisturizing one like the Camille Rose you just used. But I think you’d be pleasantly surprised how that foam can hold its own when applied on damp hair.

Hey Girl Hey I ❤the final results. You’re right the softer hold might not last as long but it looks great on day 1 if you want the volume. That’s the way I wear my hair all the time. And I have basically just accepted the curls with some frizz until it starts to dry out
