Trying the Highest Rated Men's Fragrances on Amazon

This is just an idiot's opinion on popular fragrances on Amazon. Do not take any of this too seriously, I'm just trying to have fun and provide the average consumer's perspective on this stuff.

Also, please store fragrances in a place out of direct sunlight, in a place that stays cool. Nothing worse than buying a new one, putting it on a shelf or other spot that gets sunlight and it being ruined. Discolouration is a sign and they'll smell different (usually unpleasant).

After decades of Drakkar, I went on the hunt for an upgrade a few years ago, and I'm very happy I did. Luna Rossa Black by Prada is pricy, I think, but it's great. Since the turn of the century, few would comment on the Drakkar. Now I frequently get complements and people asking for details. It's an eau de parfum, so it lasts longer than cologne/eau de toilette.

HOLY SHIT. As a vo actor I was on a microphone hunting marathon (that was completed almost a year ago) now I’m about to end my cologne hunting marathon as well. It can’t be a coincidence that I’ve watched countless Podcastage mic reviews and am now watching Bandrew review fragrances too…😄

I still rock Drakkar Noir from time to time. I loved it in the 80's and still do. Catalyst by Halston (if you can find it) is a really awesome one too. Boss by Hugo Boss is another great clean smelling one.

I found a new fragrance recently called Soft Neroli and the scent notes are neroli, raspberry and vanilla and it is delightfully amazing for $9!

Also I always test fragrances first. They react differently on peoples skin. Neroli is a sweet, honeyed scent, may be a little spicy, but in the combination in my other comment - heavenly. I grew up with essential oils and have been very picky about fragrances since. It's also fun blending essential oils in a diffuser for different aromatic ambience!

Hi Bandrew. Just jumped over from this week's BSP, scrolled this channel (which I hadn't previously seen) and did the same thing I do with microphones - see something I own already and watch the review for it to see what someone else thinks. I started using Cool Water last year (having previously loved Culture by Tabac which was discontinued) and I like it a lot. There are a couple of guys at my workplace whose cologne is overpowering and I work with kids with sensory processing issues from time to time. Therefore I like a fragrance that's not too strong. By the end of a work day there's still a hint of fragrance on my shirt / person but only if one huffs it pretty close up, which is perfect for me. I am now interested to give Drakkar Noir a sniff! Also - where on your person do you spray cologne (eau de toilette)? I'm a chest + inner forearm then rub inner forearms together guy.

That makes sense why you want a more tame fragrance. Drakkar Noir is not a mild scent, it is very bold and in your face, so it may not be ideal for work with people with sensory processing issues. I apply it similarly. I do mid chest and then both forearms just right below the inside of the elbow, and then I'll occasionaly do one on my back.

Hi Bandrew. Just checking in from about half way down the rabbit hole. I have enjoyed sampling a bunch of fragrances and have also upped the number of sprays. For Cool Water I now go 3 sprays per arm, 3 chest and one back of neck. Also Al Haramain L'Aventure Knight is a stronger but also inexpensive fragrance that's doing a Cool Water / Green Irish Tweed vibe. Hope you're feeling better and looking forward to more of the podcast when you're up to it!

Drakkar Noir belongs to another league. Managing to be super masculine and very wearable (versatile) at the same time; it is a masterpiece. Only a handful of products can do this. What comes to mind is Creed Aventus.

the better thing to do is go you'er self, smell the perfume, if you like it buy it, if you're not don't, because the perfumes is based on experience if you buy perfume from the internet Sometimes it's might be awful for your nose, and don't get upset when someone or few people tells you that your perfume bad if you think that it's good smelling perfume then that's enough

Great adviice about trying it. Last year I bought a bunch of samplers from Floris, Creed and some other houses. I've landed on the one that I will get when i am feeling like spending too much money. that will be the Creed Green Irish Tweed. it is the favorite perfume I've ever smelled.
