My 1990's EDC (Everyday Carry)

I was feeling nostalgic so I made an everyday carry for the 1990's. This is what I came up with. Let me know if I missed anything and what your favorite item from the 90's was.

Loved this , so cool! I loved the "this is everything we would have to carry in the 90's to replace what we have on the phone today" 👍🏼! I had my first cell phone , a large Nokia ,in '94 that I wore on my hip😂. Would love to see this also in the '80's EDC version!

I loved the 90s more than the 80s. I graduated in '93. Thinking back to a job I had in 1996 I had a pager on me 24 hours a day (meh) and a cell phone while I was working. I never carried change. I did have calling cards if needed. I used those all the time and they were expensive. Long distance charges were no joke! I often brought my backpack with me so I'd throw a book, magazine, newspaper or whatever in there. I did carry a notebook with me if I needed it. I usually listened to the radio or CD's in the car. I don't recall ever using a walkman or anything like that post high school. I truly don't think though in the 90s and before people put as much thought into what they carried with them or used the term 'everyday carry'. You just grabbed your stuff and either threw it in a pocket, bag or briefcase and made your escape...

I never gave thought about optimizing what I carried at all. It was just whatever was in my back pack. And then making sure I had my discman and extra batteries.

I have been to three of your channels and I eat up your 90s and 80s-remnisce videos. You talk about the things I actually want to hear and try to have conversations about with people, but they are just not interested (particularly not other women). I first watched your BIFL video at a time when I first became obsessed with the notion. I am now looking for forums on bifl/"the joy of one" discussions, which to have yet to find. I am subscribing to this channel as well. Thanks Bandrew.

I remember my friend had a mobile phone in the 90s. The SIM was the same size as a credit card! I had to stick with pennies for payphones.

Back then I had no idea what was a good watch so my mom bought me a cheap Timex watch which worked despite the flimsy build quality

If you want to enjoy incandescent tint LED in 2 AA flashlight, consider buying Convoy T4 with some LED in 2700k color temperature.

They are considered good headphones but back in the 90s I would have not known since Amazon reviews didn’t exist to my knowledge

Oh of course the pen needs to be included. I added one to the EDC just a little bit later. I offered two options, and one of them was a Parker Jotter. =)
