Hi Danial. Thank you for your channel. Always look forward to seeing your videos. I'm on a similar journey to you. Born in Cyprus but bred in the UK, we decided we had enough and now we are now living the dream of most people, and that's in Crete. We only moved here 4 months ago and I can't get it into my head that I live here and I'm not on holiday! I suppose it makes it worse that I don't have to work, so every day seems like a holiday! Keep up the good work!

From Sweden but is half greek. Love seeing these videos. Dreaming away of potentially moving to Greece one day :) In the process of building a house on our land in the outskirts of Athens.

I love Marcelo's ice creams but you should try Koustenis as well which is made in Nafplio and the Italian gelateria above Syndagma square on Staïkopoulou, also Italian family

I am a Greek Canadian from Vancouver, BC. I have this crazy thought of moving back. The thoughts that you had about the giagiades that were swimming... and you wanted to do the same when you are older... my dream is to be able to watch the sea from my window and live a peaceful life for whatever I have left. Greek folk remedy for sunburn is applying plain Greek Yoghurt with all the fat onto the sun burn. The enzymes in the yoghurt heals the burn. Works every time. We learned this from our Macedonian grandmothers. 🙏🏼🧿🙏🏼

Το Ναύπλιο έχει 3-4 οικογένειες Ιταλών που έχουν ανοίξει μαγαζιά με Gelato. όχι παγωτό όπως το λέμε εμείς εδώ στην Ελλάδα. Το Gelato αν και σε ελεύθερη μετάφραση σημαίνει παγωτό φτιάχνετε διαφορετικά και χωρις αέρα μέσα του.

Mmmm Italian gelato in Greece , the dream 😋👍

Alabama USA...when i stopped there in October 2023, i did not know it was the best in Nafplio ! With all the Italian flags i knew it had to be from Italy...by the way I'm original from Puerto Rico and we loved our 10 weeks in Greece ! Would definitely be back ! We did Paros , Naxos, Santorini, Milos, Crete, and drove the Peloponnese for 3 weeks. Nafplio was so relaxing and a great stop ! Love the videos !

I have a appetite for ice cream now

I was watching this video in a small village, Sigri, on the most western spot on Lesbos. I am here on one of my yearly Lesbos roubd trips. I live on this big island with 90 000 inhabitants, and this has become a tradition through 25 years. To make excursions on my motor bike and stay over a couple of nights in my favourite domatia or small hotels. My favourite Greek ice cream is perhaps Kri Kri from Serres. They use the excellent chocolate Ion as an ingredience. Before Kri Kri became available in most of Greece, I used to buy EVGA. Also a very tasty ice cream. Thank you for the cozy, laid back and informative videos. It is a pleasure watching them.

God damn, EVGA was the best ice cream; nothing comes close to that today. I used to destroy the 'Chicago' and the Trinita or something, the one with the croquant nuts.

I am watching in Germany (Canadian-American here) We have been here 6 months and will go back to the US after a couple more years. We will visit Greece again before we leave, though! Great content! I'm a Canadian who has spent 13 summers in Greece in a little town called Kalamos..... about an hour north of Athens on the Ionian Sea (Agii Apostoli) Thank goodness the tourists haven't discovered this little part of paradise yet. There are by far better places for ice cream in Nafplio. Nafplio is known for its ice cream. Please do a video with all the ice cream shops for comparison. That would be interesting!

actually, Nafplio is full of ice cream shops ! There are about 4 top-notch ice-cream places around the few main streets close to the centre/first parliament (within a 500m radius). I don't know if the "Italian" guy makes the best, i think that all of them are equally superb. The other shops look much more modern though 🙂
