There Is a sort of mayo mix in the pork floss buns in BreadTalk that's what made it so nice. It's not pure mayo. For Kaya toast, the butter has to be thick hahaha and bread should be hot from toasting so that the butter will start to like melt.

And one of the variants from chili crab is the chili crab aglio olio, which has been present in Singapore a number of years alrdy at certain restaurant, though not yet a common street food like chili crab yet.

Don't worry,my family also eat Bak Kwa with bread and sometimes we will use Bak Kwa to make it into sandwiches for lunch 😋 It really delicious 🤤

Woahh I've never heard of the bakkwa, butter and bread combo! Gotta try it soon :D Normally my family puts it in fried rice!

Ba kwa = Sweet Jerky of sorts, the butter and kaya is a traditional food from old school singapore, people of that time like richer foods. It goes with coffee / tea which help to neutralize the overly rich taste.

We went to your place and enjoyed Universal Studios the most.

It was roti abon, dendeng and srikaya in indonesia😊🇲🇨🇲🇨

Well, I hope you guys will be able to come here to Singapore in the future! We really have a wide variety of food here. Honestly a personal favorite of mine is the laksa. Chili crab is nice too, but I rarely have it.

I prefer Lim Chee Guan or the traditional one in the Chinatown Market hehe and eat it with the pickles from NTUC ( i forgot what pickle, i think its ginger pickle) The pickle and ba kwa goes SOOO WELLLL together) BUTT if we can get our hands on any ba kwa, any brand is fine to satisfy our cravings :((

my family eats bak kwa in those mantou kinda bread bao (gua bao usually but instead of pork belly its bak kwa lmao or we just cut open a mantou bun and place bak kwa inside) smtimes we add some lettuce/other veggies with it too

Omfg the kaya brand is my favourite i always buy loads of it from the supermarkets here in sg lol , the bak kwa me & my mom eat it as is by itself , the kaya with bread i prefer it without butter lol .

They might probably be shocked at how expensive bakwa is in Singapore, but yeah everything pretty much checks out.

I usually tell my Korean in-laws pork floss is 고기가루, or “meat powder”… Maybe you could bring them to the Jumbo Seafood branch in Gangnam area..? Not sure if the branch is still there though…

actually when I get my kaya toast from coffee shops/ya kun...I'd take out half or 3/4 of the butter cuz it's too much for me.Especially when it comes to the middle part where the butter is,I can taste more of the butter rather than the kaya which is not what I want lol
