So you start the video by saying that you can’t be an electrician if you don’t have a 2,5mm allen key. But then you complain about the product, because you don’t have a normal tx10 screwdriver and a normal small flat head electronics screwdriver. Which every electrician should have in their tool arsenal 😂😂 Love from Denmark, love the videos 😁💪

@@aardwolf21 Cat6 is typically only 10% more than Cat5e, and would only be a small part of the overall cost of the EV cable. No, not domestic patch panels. I suspect the way they are made they would be too fussy? keystones are not a great idea. And anyway, yes, there is sod all data on EV chargers today, but who knows in the future? I would guess that more than 95% of the Cat6 I put in is not needed, old Cat5 would more than do. But I want it future proof, as does the customer generally. When there is only a small price difference between Cat6 and Cat7a, I will put that in on new installs.

Now that you are doing more solar pv and battery installs it’d be good if you could do a bit more on the charger videos about compatibility with those systems and what the can and can’t do with them and different time of day tariff. It’s not as straightforward as just, it can do solar. Even the Zappi has limitations in what is possible. i.e. you can’t stop it from diverting excess energy at certain times if your tariff makes it advantageous to actually export to the grid at that time. You’ve just got to make sure it’s not plugged in which is a bit analogue

I always avoid the mortar line, from experience - mortar can crumble and not hold the wall plug securely, resulting in it loosing grip and spinning. Doesn't always happen and depends on how good the mortar is. This is especially the case when you come to remove something, i have had many occasions where the mortar gives way and just leaves a massive hole upon removing the screw.

Those here making comments about a lack of torx bits are missing a valid, wider point about the poor design of many of the products electricians are expected to install. This is the result of the 'Minecraft generation' of design engineers, sitting comfortably in front of a large monitor, latte in hand. Take a look at the installation instructions of electrical products - particular light fittings - and you will see an expectation of a totally smooth, flat surface from the CAD package. How many manufacturers tell their engineers: looks good on the screen, now make a 3D print, go out in the rain, kneel in the mud, and install it on the rough brick wall over there! :-) (you can take your latte with you!)
