Watching your videos reminds me of the relationship I have with my dad. For years I thought me hanging around helping out (getting in the way, I thought for years). Was just a one way relationship. (Me learning from him). But as I got older and rennovating my own house I have realised just how much he must have valued me. Clearing away. Passing right tools, holding this and that... And yes providing him with mixes :p The master-apprentice relationship goes both ways!... Just don't tell Alex; he may get a big head ;)

Nice work fellas! Just wondering in the UK do they make you locate and mark out the utilities before you start digging? Or is that not mandatory on private projects? Here in the USA they have you call 811 and all the local utilities come out and mark things like gas ,electric, water and sewer. That way you aren’t on the hook if you hit something. Great service but you have to plan ahead because it can take a few days for them to show. It’s always an adventure when you guys start digging ⛏. Thanks

So when you hire a brickie or any tradesman, the most important thing is recommendation. For every quality, reliable tradesman, there's a chancer who will cause you untold misery. This is the beauty of KZread, it shows you everything you need to know about your builder before engaging with them and you only need watch a couple of Steve and Alex's vids to see they are top drawer. Only problem is, they will always be busy but, take my advice, never never hire someone you don't know because you're under time pressure - the chancers can sense your desperation and will rinse you.

Alex that makes sense, you have had it lucky there, when it gets shit shit ground down here its time to run!! Na but I have had to raft it before, but that cost a fortune in drawings, steel and ball ache 😆 and digging with a pump!!

PLEASE, please, work on your sound levels! Both of you are quiet speakers but the "music" and other noises are very loud. And the wind noise in your microphone.... !!! I love your work but please improve the sound on your vids. Cut the non-voice sound levels by at least 30%. And I just gotta say it: that "music" is just crap noise to me. Off me chest.... Cheers!
