I've got a Deere 326E rubber tire machine. Bought new in '17, had a hydraulic motor go bad at 70 hours and then a pump at 700 hours (all under warranty), now 6 years later has 4400 hours, works 7 days a week. Have had very few problems with it, love it, would buy another one tomorrow.

On a side note, the cup holder has its own vent, so a/c on keeps drink cold. Heat on will keep coffee warm also, but keep that in mind if a soda drinker.

Stan, the new deeres have so many functions, we run a 331g tracked machine on a musk ox blower and it eats! Also gravel work, cleaning ditches, the comfort and the sound quality of a Deere cab has amplified so many times in the past 10 years! Run the knob that has turtle and bunny to the bunny and use the turtle/bunny 1 or 2 gear, you can fly across a yard and carry with the load assist, i can go on for days!

I love our Deere's. The one thing you have to remember though is to keep the cutting edge parallel with the ground in this machine you don't want the lift arms down against the stops. The shape of that bucket on that machine will drag the heel before the cutting edge is flat on the ground.

Love that dump trailer I’ve been meaning to get one myself so thanks for showing some of the different trailers! John Deere makes really good equipment. In my neck of the woods it’s Deere, Bobcat, Kubota or JCB and I see tons of Deere so I say give John Deere a shot!

We have one at work that we use for Parks maintenance. The attachments we have or the rotary RX eight big mower for brush, cutting, and the power rake. We use to kind of Frazier mow areas on sports fields. One thing that’s nice with the tracks. It doesn’t care of the grass as much.

I've run 3 brands in my life. A recycling company I worked for leased Cat skidsteers and I hated them. The local rental yard rents Bobcat and I always hate running them. I own a Case SV250 and love it. It has mechanical controls, which in my opinion give you much better control (better finesse). Yes they are also more physically tiring. Bobcats always are very herky jerky. And the Cat machine, it was impossible to see the attachment mounting plate when connecting to attachments because of where the crossmember for the lift arms was located. The visibility out the back on my machine is WAY better than the other 2 I mentioned as well. JMO

We’ve ran cat, ASV, Takeuchi, and kubota and ended up with a Deere for 2023. We are a landscape and grading company just like yours and install around 10-15 yards a week during peak season. I will say that the Deere is certainly heavy and big but they are power houses and second to non. Will walk all over a CAT, kubota isn’t even in the same class, ASV is more feature rich but lacks the capacity of course. The Deere series have a lot of functions others don’t such as the quick touch speed control which can be dialed from 90-1% and is great when running the Harley rake or landscape rake where you can over run your cut easily. There is also monitor controls which has 3 settings for both drive control and boom control independent. So you can go fine touch, standard, or production and you can really feel a difference in the controls. Offset plus and cherry on top is you can fine control all the little things we have always wanted. Like manual tracking adjustment on the fly from the computer while driving when your pulling a little to the left or right. The power is hands down industry leading. So far we love it. I will say nothing beats the ride of the ASV platform and we still own our RT65 and RT 40 but they have there place in our work too.

Hey Stanley, awsome looking trailer, my only issue with ALL the dump trailers is how the front portion of the load zone is pretty much useless except for light garbage. The weight of anything significant just creates such immense leverage against the lift ram that it wont lift. Found myself tossing concrete chunks or shoveling dirt out the front far too many times LOL. If only a manufacturer would change the mounting points of the ram in the scissor just slightly increase the angle of it, reducing the leverage the weight has against it, that would be a game changer. The many 14k trailers ive tried all seem to be just good enough in that aspect. Also if you think your truck tows it like a dream just try towing with a cummins :)

Great video as usual Stan! I love that Horizon dump trailer. It’s very modern Euro style! A couple of things I’d like to know what you think about it though. 1. I personally think 3’ sides is more than enough with any pickup truck trailer. Anything more and you are fighting lifting things into it, especially with mini/midi excavators or skiddsteers if lifting stumps. How did you personally feel about the height? 2. While I love the smooth look on the outside, the rib up front in the center and the way the rear posts intrude into the trailer are definitely a point where clay will stick and gather. Or does it seem worse in the video than in real life? 3. If you were an owner op with just a dump trailer, skidsteer and six ton excavator, would you buy this dump trailer as you’re one and only for moving the equipment and materials? Lastly, I am curious as to why you skipped the dumping part of the full/high load you put on? Was it not able to dump it? Obviously it was way heavy, but I would have liked to have seen just how heavy it was. As you know well, dirt is much harder to unload than gravel or rock. Thanks for the discovery of this trailer Stan! 👍🏻

Stan, you asked what the viewers want to see tested! I'd love to see a CAT R1600H LHD underground mining loader loader, I know that you would love this machine. I believe most CAT dealers in your state would have at least one on hand as I think mining is big in your state, and let you at the very least see one and let you sit in the cab...this was the last scoop tram that I operated at the Hoyle Pond mine in Timmins ON, till my stroke permanently ended my working career.

I don't know Stanley I got a feeling my comment is going to last longer this video so I really like John Deere I've driven a lot of their green tractors Farmers/ landscape for a short time the ASV that thing was ancient it was a left-hand to ball joystick the best roller coaster I've ever been on you will spill your beer but it had tons of power tons of power I really like that feature they had on the John Deere of controlling the movement of the machine the no herky-jerky feeling but one thing you mentioned about the trailer that I did like I know you mentioned the height and it prevented you from knowing how much material you had in there and if less you're counting your buckets and you know what size bucket you're using a half yard to a full yard you don't know how much weight you're putting in that trailer and especially the soil you were moving was quite damp very wet looking so there is that factor you could put 8 yd of dry soil in there no big deal 8 yards of wet soil you might as well put 16 yards of soil and since the trailer manufacturer was a ride along I would like to see him put and I know they have them but maybe they can modify it cuz I believe semi-trailers have a weight gauge in the tire or something to that effect but what about something very simple because trust me you need a simple Gaugefor people who just don't put two-and-two together a gauge that reads the axle pressure to the trailer that reads just like a water tank when it is at maximum load red Gauge pops up or a buzzer goes off maybe that's air control or even electrical control switch that just alert you you've reached a maximum weight for the trailer that would actually help the trailer manufacturer you're not succeeding the weight capacity of the trailer it helps the independent contractor because his guys can not overload the equipment and caused a serious accident if you've ever loaded a trailer we've all done it with overload it and knew it and that's on us but when we're dealing with wet soil Sod material concrete it is easy to misjudge it I've even seen you do it on your channel honestly I hate to have new things thrown into law but that should be a safety gauge on trailers just like airbags why because these younger people are not getting any smarter you can tell them you can train them and they still do not care but since they're so involved with video game when the buzzer rings off the game's over stop filling the trailer it seems to be their mentality

If I was going to supplement my tractor, I'd probably go with a high-end skiddy like this. Although my tractor is great for a lot of things, it really doesn't have the power to dig up the packed, hard desert ground and large rocks around my homestead. Also, being able to lift an entire IBC tote full of water would be great (already have the forks for my tractor, but it will only move an empty tote).

When he went for the second strip i was like well, it won't be level after that. Lol after operating equipment for a long time I learned to move over a few feet and get that pass done then come back and take the strip out. That way you are consistent across the job. If you were to put a liner in that trailer, no doubt you would have a bad azz rig.

I think that was the first time you used a vertical lift in practice? How did you find it for the loading? Not sure if they're used much in your side of the earthmoving business, but some applications make a lot of use of LASER, or other technologies, levelling where the machine can be set to a fixed level, or grade, to work to - I don't recall it/them being mentioned on any of the vehicle tests, whether Skid-loaders or other earth-movers. Do you use it, or have you used, it on any machines?

I wouldn’t look at Deere if I were you Stan. Not only will they charge you for the parts in the store, they will charge you for them to physically go in the back and grab it off the shelf, as well as the delivery that it cost them to get the stock item in. That means anything in stock you have to pay for it to actually be shipped in , even if you didn’t have to order it. The service charge for them is absolutely ridiculous too. You have better chances playing Russian roulette then getting yourself into a financial trouble with Deere. And this is coming from a life long die hard John Deere fan.

Based on your recent video, it looks like you got the Kubota 97-2 instead of the John Deere. The John Deere looks like a great machine, what made you chose the Kubota over the John Deere?

I hope that salesman said it wrong about the DEF. If you need to fill the DEF tank every time you fill the fuel tank then it uses the DEF excessively or the tank is way too small. On our Takeuchi TL12R2’s they require DEF every 50 hrs and that’s only a half tank of DEF.

Yes John Deere makes good equipment. There little excavators are built by hitachi equipment in Japan. That might change as I heard they are parting ways. I’m not sure about the skid steer’s where they are made. The 2 companies I do mechanic work for and also operate equipment. Use John Deere mainly because the dealer is close and easy to work with. But also great equipment. Both companies have tried other makes like cat case Takeuchi bob cat and John Deere is preferred by the company owners and operators. Both small and large machines.

Deere and Hitachi were building the machines jointly, meaning they both owned the plan and designs. During the beginning of the supply crisis, Hitachi was holding up the production of Deere machines, so Deere purchased it outright, so it is an all-Deere affair made in the same plant by the same people.

Go with a Takeuchi TL10, I carried 15’x30’ 9,000lb rolls of field turf with it no problem. Bobcats don’t have the power, Cat & Kubota will dump material back on you in the cab.

Are the captions reslly necessary? KZread has built in ones for those who need them and the ones you guys add are so big and distrscting. Please at least run a poll on your community page to figure out if people really like them. Also, if you're getting a new skid steer, look very heavily at Takeuchi. Me, my dad, and my grandpa have all ran and loved them. Solid brand with a good history.

The John Deere will cost alot. You will have a good dealer to help you.I watch a lot of farm videos. Farmers beat the heck out of their equipment. The one's that have the Deere's like them. They have good dealers too.Comes down to money. If you want the best you have to pay for it. Cool trailer. Thanks 😊.
