I unintentionally went into monk mode the year COVID-19 began. I often got headaches from focusing so hard but it was the happiest point of my life. It was also the most productive and I did notice exactly what you spoke about in terms of the importance of your environment and the importance of limiting distractions. I didn’t have a phone at this time so social media wasn’t a problem I had to deal with. I started withdrawing from my friends- I was so invested in working that I didn’t feel the need nor thrill of socializing. At night, while lying in bed, I would do what is the equivalent of meditating in my head. This was a beautiful and sad time. I was also anorexic, and I sometimes wonder if the lack of food in my body helped clarify my mind, because it was one less distraction.
I definitely need to renovate my goals because they are currently stressing me out. I should set a deadline probably and be more realistic.

I struggled with environment, not being financially independent yet, made it harder for me to change and focus sadly, everytime i try i end up failing cause whatever environment i was in doesn't allow me to be at peace ....
