Nothing beats the whopper though, although in my early 20s I don’t know if you guys remember they had a menu item called “the chicken crunch burger” like almost a decade ago that to me was the best chicken burger they ever made, it was so crunchy I’d get like 3 during lunch and after college too, wasn’t a bad price either too bad they got rid of it 😢

I hope you also try Red Rooster Mikey every known KZreadr seems to miss trying out our own fast food chain. Such a shame because it is actually decent!

Welcome to Melbourne, as they say... "The burgers are better and Hungry Jacks" 😋
Welcome to Melbourne! I love that little Thai place! So random that it’s in the middle of a city carpark. I used to go there when I worked at St Vincent’s hospital around the corner. So good!
The Pineapple Fritters at Maccas are just a seasonal promo. I think you can get them all year round at Red Rooster. 🐓

You just can’t beat Melbourne for the best culinary experience in Australia, it’s a melting pot of so many cultures and cuisines that no other Aus city can match! Head out to the suburbs next time and check out Springvale and Box Hill for Asian foods, and Oakleigh for the best Greek food you’ve ever had outside of Greece!
Been Melbourne 5 times in the past 5 years and I've barely scratched the surface of food places to try in the CBD let alone the outer suburbs, so you definitely gotta go back for that week you mentioned

Nice to see you down in our part of the world finally Mikey. Bar Luca is a must when you get to Sydney. As for the beetroot on the burger, it is generally called an 'Aussie' burger at that point. If it has bacon & pineapple as well, it's then called a burger 'with the lot'. Usually best from a local takeaway rather than your large chains.

@simonl4252 to compare the two from international locations to his American viewers that will definitely want to know how they're different. In the US it's generally accepted that Mickey Ds is better than BK, but it's the opposite here and it's kinda neat.

Welcome to Australia, and if you are planing to come to Adelaide, if you done so already. You need to go to Cafe Da Villies and try out a Pie Floaters. Also you need to go in to any supermarkets and try Fruchocs, normally found in the sweets isle, as in chocolate bars and so on. While in a Supermarkets. Try out the drink, Farmers Union Iced Coffee. Also find your self somewhere that sell a Fog Cake.
Great to see you in my home city. You will find the McDonalds chicken and fish burgers are different from the US, they are coated in a fine bread crumb. I'm a big fan. We also have lots of chicken wraps and salads. We often prefer a fully cooked through egg so you don't loose all the egg to the plate.
welcome to aus, enjoy the high prices.
Welcome to my home town!
I hope you tried the Hungry Jack chips. They are so tasty.
That seafood platter looks divine. I also wouldn't be surprised if it costed over $60. lol
you need to try a HSP while you're here!!!
Parmount Centre has a lot of cheap places in the food court downstairs. Also the cheapest place to get a drink in the CBD.
Mate, when you're in Tassie, go to the shop and get a National Pie. Trust me.
Glad you made it to Australia, did you come up to Sydney?
Noooo… wanted Mike to eat at Third Wave Cafe near the seafood place for their massive Ribs 😅
Welcome to Australia 🇦🇺
Come to the Gold Coast. Australia's place for fun and games. Tourism capital of Australia.
so weird seeing u in melb hahha
I worked at Hungry Jack's for a few months when I was 18. The Burger's taste flame grilled because they are... technically. They go into a conveyor belt oven.
Mike, my local fish and chip shop, probably like many others have been serving battered beef rissoles for years! Way better than burger bites.
hey Mike can you please tell us all how much each dish cost aswell as that looked awesome
Glad to see you got the fritters before they went off the menu. They’re limited time things, but they’ll circle back around next year. Edit: you didn’t get any chocolate soft serve?

Please go to Victoria St Richmond to try out all the Vietnamese 🇻🇳 restaurants there !!!
Australia is the capital of Thai food - outside Thailand. Queensland especially so.
Bourke St seems to be the Thai street for some reason? A lot of people in Australia have been over to Thailand so know if it is good and ask for "Thai hot"
I live in nz and I've eaten so many hot cross buns in my life. So weird to see someone say theyve never had one.
You're literally across from my home when you're at HJ.
Australia is spoilt for choice when it comes to asian cuisine, being so close to Asia and having a large Asian population no less. Melbourne is %100 one of those places in the country where if you want to experience the food and cafe culture, you could spend weeks trying out different cuisines, types of food etc.
you forgot to slather your hot cross bun with butter!
Go to south Melbourne market
Waiting for Mike to try a Moreton Bay Bug!
maybe try our nandos in Australia ive only heard good things from my visiting US friends.
Hey Mikey, please do a Korean BBQ veedeo soon, we've never see you go to a Korean BBQ before. Same goes for Costco, Chinese dumpling places, fast food restaurants, 7-11's.
