That looks soooo good, reminds me of the spice levels of Yakisoba downtown here, I really wanna go to this place now, love the noodle ratio, that rice looks amazing as well. Now you're making me hungry for Ramen, Tsukemin, & Yakisoba now as well lol. I'd love to try those places, if you can recommend ones around Japan when I inevitably go, I'd greatly appreciate it. Looking forward to it cause of someone I want to see again after so long 😊 (if you could help recommend a...erm, sweet, & romantic like lovers-esque / sentimental gift to help express my wish that I had gotten there sooner, and never meant for it to take so long...know what I mean?...I'm sure you understand what im going for, any help would be appreciated as I'm drawing blanks rn...I'm literally just drawing stuff for her rn between work, but idk if they're good enough to convey it or not...I'm not a very good artist regrettably lol, but I'll do my best ofc). Thanks regardless...I appreciate you just reading this, it's just been kinda stressful to me & insomnia inducing tbh...gonna try to rest, just been thinkin' 'bout it a lot cause, yk her special day was not long ago....ye... sorry for verbally spewing up like this; just been trying to find a perfect gift; clearly it's been bothering me"

I've come to realize that the Japanese are probably the only Asians who don't like overly spicy food. They will spice it up, but never to the level that the Koreans, Chinese or Thai will do.

Calling "Chinese foods are spicy" is a gross overstatement. With the exception of Korea, most South and South East Asian handle spicy food way better than the entire China.

SEA and Indochina pretty much has the same dishes with the same spice level but different variants bec of culture. Japanese cuisine relies heavily on usage of dried seaweed and dried fish broth, ingredients not typically used in southest asia and indochina. Bean paste and sweet wine typical of north east asia too

You're not wrong, for some reason I loved hot chili as a baby & even the good spicy jalapeños & occasionally eat a habanero, & later when I cooked I'd dice some up if I was gonna make Migas...love putting 'em in bread after making them, white bread style lol 🍞 🤟 (won't lie tho, the tortillas and a cooking iron help a lot), hit it with both crushed red peppers & even more with cayenne flakes (same iirc, just ground down)...just because.

As a Nigerian girl I can confirm what you said is true honestly even the spiciest in their shop won't even affect me because I've cooked pepper soup before and I used like 10 spoons of pepper I'm not trying to exaggerate and 5 spoons of salt which we're really big although it was a small bowl but usually my favourite things in food at the Spice pepper and salt I love them I can't do without it it's like doing without oxygen for me but she should try suya that has a lot of space and if she has a good love for Spice she will love suya in my house they call me the Peppa queen in a house filled with people who didn't use less than 5 Big spoons of pepper in their soup but that particular soup I made made me s*** out pepper😂😂😂😂😂 so I finally learnt that in summary never take too much of pepper or else your toilet will suffer just as much as you too😅😂😂😂😂
