Trying instant luo si fen (aka snail rice noodles) for the first time

I saw a chinese variety show (Youth With You) a while back and the way the girls described luosifen got me so curious that I had to try.
Instant luosifen that comes packed with ingredients! pickled veggies, peanuts, dried tofu, etc. I keep hearing about these "smelly" noodles and finally got my hands on them to try.
Luosifen also known as snail rice noodle is a popular noodle dish where the broth is made by stewing rice snail. This instant luosifen is less fancy but tries to mimic it with some of its added ingredients.
I was super surprised by the amount of ingredients they had in that bag. Normal instant noodles have a powder soup base and dried veggies and that's about it. This one makes me feel like I'm eating healthy!
Taste-wise, this is pretty yummy. Noodles are chewy and firm. The soup is flavorful (salty, sour, spicy, and slightly sweet). And it's not that smelly...not sure why people call it smelly noodles. Overall, I like it a lot! Will be buying more ofi t.

The one i got have confusing instructions. Uncle shaw brand. It says cook noodles in cold water for 10 to 12 minutes.

I have one that doesnt have any instructions or English text on the sachets so this video is really useful

youre suppose to cool the noodle take it out and made the soup and then put noodle back in

Damn... the chili sauce... that’s like... too little. Better don’t put any if you’re gonna put that little.. Part of what makes Luo Shi fen wonderful is the hot chili sauce.. 😅😂

I even end up adding chili peppers and budak sauce 😭 I think it just add more flavor to it and love the spicer kick to it
