流心means lava heart or flowing heart, so they should have a soft inside: I have never microwaved my mooncakes as we don’t really use microwaves in hong kong. Try placing them in an oven!

You can try microwaving it for 10-15 secs before eating it! Because printed on the moon cake is “流心” which means it’s supposed to be like a lava filled mooncake! I had my first lava mooncake this year and it’s so delicious! Warm and creamy!

This is actually what's wrong with our world. The 8 small cakes wer packaged in 4 layers of plastic and cardboard. And that was probably in cardboard boxes on some palet wrapped in nilon foil. So the amount of cake that you get for the amount of space it takes and packaging it has is just stupidly disgusting.

Plastic especially is a HUGE problem for our environment. Ignoring a problem doesn't make it go away.

I saw a guy making them. He pushed the yolk into lotus paste raw. How did it stay in contact. It was raw. It came out a different colour after he baked the cakes. I was so confused.

I take mandarin class at school, so last Tuesday my teacher actually brought in moon cakes to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival. I actually really liked them! (I know there are different flavors but I’m not sure what type of moon cake she brought in)

Something to add, in the UK mooncakes and space cakes are the same thing, they have a high THC content and can get someone high for a very long while

I had the snow skin durian moon cake which was seriously NOT CHEAP, but the durian taste was super strong and delicious.

Durain snowskin mooncake has a stronger taste. The one I got, the entire filling is durain, cost me $80 for 6. Then I spent another $12 for 4 mini fruit snowskin mooncake and about $28 for 2 traditional mooncakes. Yep, I love mooncakes.

Your voice is AMAZING and they way you move your hand and show your food.. all of that is so relaxing to me.

I tried mooncakes before becuase of one of my parents Chinese friends they gave it to us as a gift it was really good!

If you want just purely the durian taste without actually buying the fruit itself, I remember there's a type of candy me and my brother would eat as kids. It's basically a liquified durian paste thing put in plastic. I miss them so much ;-; I don't know if they're available in other countries though

It's food packaging. Something you throw out after consuming the actual product. They could have easily put 8 small cakes in a single layer and it would still be a "very well done package". But they chose to donate much needed pollution for the ocean.

The price is understandable, since I'm pretty sure where you're at durian is not native and it is a seasonal fruit. Seasonal fruits are usually pretty expensive even by itself and not processed into cakes like this.

It's a processed food though. Seasonal fruit doesn't matter when they can make in bulk and store for later, unlike the actual fruit which go bad after a while.

I recently had a durian moon cake and thank God they were free cause my mother won a lucky draw. One box had 6 regular sized moon cakes and if you pay for them it's $118 at least. They were sooo good the outside was like super soft mochi and the insides were real durian. They were the 猫山王 Moon cakes.

@@hadesisbaby It's the king of fruits. Lovely taste, awful smell. (I say this as a Malaysian who has a love-hate relationship with the fruit) It's called "Durian" because the outer shell of the fruit is covered in thorns (literally called "Duri" in Malay).

One of the best Durian I had outside the tropics was in a $15 tiny moon cake which had 2 slices! The moon cake I had, had pure Durian fruit pulp not like the ones you had here as it was from the freezer.
