you look great in sarees. But I want to correct you a little thing that, these arts are not only of Kolkata, but these arts are also from all over the united Bengal area. simply Kolkata does not represent whole Bengal.

You have missed out on all the heritage Saree shops of Kolkata.. The most famous ones.. The places you visited are mostly boutiques and not so popular in here.. The authentic ones you must have visited are - Adi Indian Silk House, Mohini Mohun Kanjilal, Priyo Gopal Bishoyee, Adi Dhakeshwari Bastralay etc..

Kolkata aayi aur Bengal Taant (Handloom) Saree hi nahin try Kiya, to phir kya kiya? Most of the sarees you've tried are not authentically Kolkata or Bengal saree.

You must visit Adi Dhakeshwari Bastralaya in Rash Behari Avenue, Gariahat, Kolkata. Established in 1925. Famous filmstar and singers used to buy sarees from here.

ADI MOHINI MOHAN KANJILAL...you have to revisit for this shop...hugeee collection mam....i strongly recommend 😊

590 is also expensive .. you can get sarees for 200-300 in borobajaar and gariahat

200-300 sarees are mainly khadi,begampuri or handloom sarees which are cheap. Silk sarees are impossible to get at that price

For one Varanasi sari it's Not worth Kolkata has Katha To kanjeevaram to Tasar to Jamdani to Taant to garad to baluchari . Will u got a stall which sells only one item or Plethora of different Fabrics Yarns and stitches ?

@@tamals22 you are right but in banaras you also got a variety of saree in banarsi saree you also got a variety and variety of fabric also the sad part is people only know only banarsi silk saree but there are lots of varieties in saress . I don't say Kolkata has no varieties but some places are most famous for there some special specific particular things . Wo bolte hai na har jagah ki apni hi kuch khasiyat hoti hai waise hi Kolkata or Banaras ki bhi apni 1 alag pehchan hai har states apni apni chizo k lie famous h 😊😊

In these sarees u look definitely beautiful..

Like there is nothing called Bengali saree commonly called everywhere....it is the color combo of white and red....the sari type can be anything like kanjivaram or banarasi....or any other kind....so it is basically just the color combo not the variety of sari....😅
