So excited for a new entry in the hobby series! I’m wondering if you ever end up falling down the fiber arts rabbit hole. Crochet is the typical gateway with that one. 😂

Another vote for crochet! Maybe even knitting too?
Fun fact: after watching you cross-stitching, I was so impressed by your work that I decided to give it a try myself. Surprisingly, I fell in love with it and still doing it regularly to this day as my main hobby. In fact, I started an ambitious project of covering an entire wall of my living room with my cross-stitch work. Needless to say, I'm obsessed with this series. And you are a true influencer :)
Also for the future: you can use acrylic varnish instead of resin! No mask or stirring needed :D And then you can get different gloss levels.

I didn’t even think of this! I suggested Hard Coat Mod Podge and gel medium, but I love that the gloss is buildable with acrylic varnish.
Diamond Art Painting! It’s my favorite thing ever. And the last few weeks I’ve been really into doing my diamond painting while listening to audiobooks. It’s my favorite part of my day now lol.

I came here to say this. I love it!
Would you ever be interested in book binding as a try-out hobby? Maybe make some custom journals and art for the covers~
I love all your creations - How Fun - LOVE your Scrabble Tiles & the Strawberry Tic Tac Toe Board! Please do not say you are not an artist - You certainly are! Very Creative! The Cactus Jewelry Holder is Adorable, As Well.
this sounds so fun. and its a learning process for sure. side note.. Liams voice got DEEP. took me by surprise hahah

Here's some ideas for hobbies: scrapbooking, making jewelry, those artificial inside gardens, baking bread, nail art, making your own scented soap or candle... I'm not sure you'd like any of these, but thought I’d suggest 😅
As an enneagram 5, watching you jump into this with zero research is equal parts impressive and horrifying

As an enneagram 9, I fully agree with your assessment AND support Kayla's decision to just dive right in!!!!
Hi, Kayla! I've been a fan for years. I'm usually shy to comment, but I wanted to let you know that there's UV Resin and because you dry the Resin with a UV light it doesn't stay tacky or sticky.
Please try stamp making - its so easy and has a lot of uses (wrapping paper, journaling, packing, making cards, etc.) If you wanna try making stuff shiny, sculpey makes glaze that’s available at Michael’s (there are different finishes and it dries faster than resin).
You inspire me so much Kayla! Your projects turned out so well 😊
Wow, I'm absolutely in love with your tic tac boards, the fruit magnets, AND the cactus dish! The colors are exceptional and your little details are precious. You are, totally and undeniably, an artist!
Ummmm that strawberry is AMAZING!!
My hobby besides reading is diamond painting! I love doing it while listening to audiobooks or watching tv or movies. It’s like cross stitch but they give you little gems that you put on a glue covered canvas with a key on it! It’s sooo satisfying and ends up so beautiful and sparkly
stoppp that palette ring is adorable 🥺
I don't know if anyone already said book folding (I bet someone did) 😊 I've been doing it for 6 years now and I love it. It' so calming and the outcome blows my mind every single time
my favourite series for sureeee!! you ARE an artist!! and you are so inspiring, Kayla!!🫶🏻
I love your approach to a new hobby; just experimenting and learning along the way.
I love doing jigsaw puzzles while listening to audiobooks. My old library (I just moved) would do jigsaw puzzle swaps 4 times a year.
I started doing stained glass this year and you don’t need as much space as you might think. I do most of mine on my desk that I also use when I’m working - just push all that to one end. Although you probably would end up buying lots of pretty glass and other tools that you need to find somewhere to put!
Knitting. But, some caveats: Buy good yarn. Buy good needles. Find an easy pattern, useful pattern that will still be useful if you mess it up, like dishcloths. With dishcloths, you can learn all types of stitches, but it’s still a small attainable project to complete. I’m usually knitting while watching.
Hi, just came on here to make sure someone said you can varnish the ceramic instead of using resin. I am originally from Mexico and we normally use varnish because it gives that finished look without changing the piece and it's a lot quicker. I liked how you used resin, I hadn't really thought of it as an option. But for the Honeycomb tic-tac-toe a varnish would have worked to contrast the resin in the honey. Very impressed with everything! Nice work
Kayla you ARE an artist!
Candle making is such a nice hobby! I’ve done it before and loved it 🥰 also knitting is therapeutic and macrame as well! ❤
This is such a cool series, Kayla truly has the best channel
these looks like so much fun! The few times I've tried clay I get frustrated and stop lol. I've found that I really enjoy creating paper flowers.
I'm surprised by how much I liked this. How are you so good at art??
This video made me so happy. Love exploring a new hobby with you!
your projects turned out so cute!!! love this series
one hobby i got SUPER into when i was in middle school was bookbinding! definitely more of a hobby you would need at least one or two tutorials on, if only to make sure you have the right stuff, but it is so much fun! there's so many different techniques, but i would love to see you dive into that world in a future art vlog perhaps! idk if she is still around (again it was a whiiiiile ago that i was into this) but i remember watching a youtube channel called Sea Lemon i think which was super helpful
I really like this series ! It makes me feel better for not having any hobbies
honestly seeing you play around with resin more would be a good episode, other then that i think you may like lino printing/stamp making! you are 100% an artist, creative queen!
Kayla! I LOVE your Hive/Bee Tic Tac Toe project! Hands down, it is much cuter than the one you showed from TikTok. It makes me want to run out and buy all the things to make one! LOL You are so much craftier than you think... and you should absolutely give yourself much more credit. OMGosh... AH-dorable ring holder too. 😍🥰🤗
I love all the bright, vibrant colours and fruit! My 8yo son wants to try some clay now. Thank you for the inspiration! ❤
Being original while creating is basically impossible, and not comparing yourself to others is almost impossible! I think you're doing great and I love this series :D
The strawberry board is so cute, I want one!
I love this series. I tend to hobby hop. I love baking, so a lot comes back to that. I did cake decorating for a while, i made a friend's wedding cake and that zapped my desire to continue. Candle making was OK, wreaths. Bread, specifically sourdough, is the current obsession. I've been thinking about soap making, and canning a lot lately.
I love this series, it’s so fun! Those tic tac toe boards are so cute 😍
Knitting! Once you get good at it you can read and knit at the same time! Also it is so cold in Canada - you could knit yourself a whole winter wardrobe!
For resin if you have a uv lamp for gel nail polish that's what we use! It cures pretty quickly

I loved doing stained glass in art in high school, but I don’t have the equipment. Maybe when I retire I can back into it. For now I stick to cross stitch. I love the Jenn McKinlay library lover’s cozy mystery series where they have “crafternoon”. Just a hint for future projects: the loop tools are good for sculpting. You can carve parts off. It would work to carve out a trough or dip as well. I wonder if a spray lacquer would work for your honeycomb and not be as shiny. This looked really fun :-)
These came out so good! And they look like they were so fun to make!
This is my FAVORITE series of yours! Your painting video inspired me to pick up some gauche of my own. :)
I am obsessed with everything you made!!! Omg it’s all so cute
Kayla, can you try fountain pen or like scrapbooking? Maybe go to a store and test their fountain pens and inks. I think you might love it. I dont know if this is truly you, but I think you might enjoy the beautiful inks :33 oh wbu candle or soap making kits?? I think you will appreciate the candle making too
The honeycomb tic tac toe and cactus 🤩🤩
Knitting or crocheting are both beginner friendly!
this is my favorite of this series so far!! your dedication to these is so amazing. i now want to make my own ring dish 😅
wow, your projects turned out great!
not me thinking "hey I was there for this live show!" and then my comment popping up with my face right next to it lmao (and yes I know I'm late watching this but I did have the tab open as a reminder ever since the video went live x))
So fun! I make stained glass myself and I think it is definitely possible to do it in a small space! Especially the examples you showed won't need a big space to work in. Just make sure you have a space that can be well ventilated :)
i LOVE your shirt in the opening clip!
Point felt projects would be so fun to watch!
this is incredible
Highly recommend getting into glass, another one other then stained glass you can do at home is lamp/flamework (which includes smaller objects such as bead making and small animals and such)
I loved all of these! Seriously cute. For your next project, have you thought about book binding? There are several techniques, maybe with covers you design and/or paper you make from scratch? Another cool project I’ve seen lately is making different kinds of flowers out of book pages. The end result is so pretty! Or…ornaments, since Christmas is coming?
Hi! I’m currently going to pottery classes and definitely share the concept of doing your own thing. Sometimes guidance can be a nuisance more than help 😅. But in my pottery studio at least, unless you ask for it, no one breathes down your neck or even tries to help. The first class, sure, but afterwards it’s a solo ride :) you should try pottery, even if it’s just for a month, so that you could get a feel of it ! It might be worth it or might even push you to get your own stuff
Such a calming, fun video to watch! Absolutely love everything you did!
I love finding new hobbies. I recently picked up scrapbook journaling and its my nightly obsession
We love a crafty queen!!
Suggestions: Digital painting Macrame Rug tufting Diamond painting Metal etching Thrifted furniture renovations
Hmm, I think I might need to make a clay tic tac toe board. I just hate working with resin. I made some book marks out of resin and it was kinda a pain. But I love crafting and listening to audiobooks. I usually crochet while listening to one but I did a diamond painting last December and it was really fun.
Gonna watch this one later!! Still loving this series!! 💕

Oh I love the palette ring idea! 💕
Wow that’s so impressive
I kinda like the beads of resin, makes the fruit look juicy lol
A suggestion for a resin alternative that doesn’t dry tacky: Mod Podge Hard Coat if you want a thick glossy layer or glossy gel medium if you want a glossy layer that isn’t as thick. The only caveat is that Mod Podge doesn’t hold up to water very well. The Hard Coat jar says you can paint furniture and stuff with it, but I wouldn’t if it’s outdoor furniture.
Thé tic tac toe board was a project i has to do in middle school ceramics class! Except we had to do animals and i did a seal 🦭!
Yesss audiobooks and crafting is the best combo. I really want to get into stained glass so I did a bunch of research and it’s kind of an expensive craft! Something for my future wish list ❤️
Love this! Be careful sanding bc silicosis, great to wear a mask (like you did) and do outside
Is there anything you can’t do 😒😂 you are so talented at everything you try!!
So glad to see the arts and crafts return!! 💕
I'm always in awe of your creativity. I love that you just learn as you go because that is so me! The tik tak toe boards are adorable! 🍓
Literally just finished watching the other two videos and then went back to my home page and here was this! What great timing!
If you enjoyed the resin, you might like making resin bookmarks or dice using silicone molds
All your projects turned out so amazing! Way better than my dragon bookstacks. I think I have an idea to make mine better though. I am like you, I just buy the materials, jump in and hope for the best. I have been trying to make resin bookmarks with dried/pressed flowers, but I am so impatient lol.
Such a fun video idea. My fav new hobby I picked up is knitting. Love putting on an audiobook and knitting
Fruits out of clay has me thinking back to all the fruit you painted. I’m sensing a theme.
I've missed this series!! You're so talented😍😍😍
Card making could be so fun! I love watching videos of people making cards lol. Might require too much space/money though
I feel the fruits would make super cute Christmas ornaments!
I wonder how you avoid the resin drips when turning it over though. I can’t think how else you could dry them! Does anyone know?
Queen of creativity 🤩 gorgeous creations!
So happy that this series has a new entry! It's so relaxing and I loved everything you made, especially the tic tac toe boards and the scrabble tiles!
Have you tried diamond painting?
i feel like you would love candle painting that i keep seeing on tik tok
honestly your curiosity and creativity are so powerful, Kayla
You are soo talented!! Beautiful work 💕 I feel like you would enjoy coloring with Prisma Colored pencils. You color layers of different colors on top of each other and they blend together. There are soo many different blending techniques you can test. You can test different types of paper, find your favorite color book artists and do a dive into how colorists can really change what a picture looks like by the end… eventually you can mix media, colored pencils over water coloring, use gesso so you can paint with acrylics on your coloring pages or just to cover lines on your pages you are trying to recreate… some people even use gold leaf. The more you learn and dive deep into coloring the more addicting it becomes.
This has given me the inspiration to finally try air dry clay!
Everything you made is adorable!!!
crochet!
Diamond painting!! Get Diamond art club kit!
Question you have the thin blades wouldn't they make it easier to cut your flat edges
Hi, may I ask what is the book calendar behind you? Have you made a video about it?
I can’t tell you how happy I am to see a new installment in this series 💗 perhaps I’m biased because crochet + books are my two biggest hobbies, but I’d love to see you dip into fiber arts! I recently tried finger knitting with jumbo yarn, and I think it’s a great place to start if the idea of crochet hooks or knitting needles seems intimidating - plus, then you could have a nice new throw, if you need or would like one ☺️ your honeycomb board turned out absolutely stunning!! I feel inspired 😍
junk journaling! some people even do journal spreads about the books they’ve read and use them thematically ~ absolutely loved the magnets, jewelry holder, the strawberry tic-tac-toe, and your little bees specifically 💛
Watching you try diamond painting would be amazing. 🤩
Did you consider UV Resin??? No mixing and measuring and it dries instantly with a UV lamp ☺️ Love this so much and your painting is so great: shading and colours 👩🍳💋
I adore the little overlap on the bee wings. Such a beautiful mind!
lala, this is very unfortunate, but now I must also make a bee-themed tic tac toe :/ it would be a great gift for my sister i just don't *sigh* need another hobby (anyway great video, as always :) )
