Trying Chocolate Persimmons! - Fruit Tasting
I finally got to try chocolate persimmons! These ones had a strong flavor though not quite as strong as some Hachiya persimmons I have had. They seemed like a middle ground between Fuyu and Hachiya varieties.

A legit variety
That looks like a Maru Persimmon which is darker inside and sometimes called chocolate persimmon. There is a variety of persimmon called Chocolate but it is oblong so what you have is not it. I am guessing it is a Maru persimmon.
