If you really wanna taste bengali malpuas, you have to try the homemade ones. Also, there's another set of sweets called “pithas” and bengalis make it at home during makar sankranti. (Malpua is a pitha)

I had been to Kolkata in 2017 for my best friend's wedding. I tried almost every sweet which u ppl tried here..... but from local shops. Believe me...sweets from local shop was so fresh and authentic and pocket friendly. U shld atleast make 3 episodes exploring bengali sweets.
