Okay! Even before watching this video, also being a Delhite, I would say that Golgappa is nowhere around puchka. You can't compare both. They are two different things, trust me. Those who asked what's the difference, enlighten yourself: it is mainly the filling that I find different. Gol gappas have only chana and sprouts inside while phuchka has mashed aalu mixed with sprouts and lots of coriander inside. The alu also has lots of masala mixed in them. The water as well. The golguppa used a more pudina based water while phuchka uses imli water. The Puri is also more maida based and does not have so much suji in them. And finally puchka is served in a dried leaf plate and not a thermoplastic plate so that you have a single Puri at a time. The smell of the plate also adds to the flavor as well. Every element is different and therefore they taste very different.

Basically nobody asks for meetha puchka in Kolkata, we like them the way they are, that's why you won't find the varieties in a regular stall. Still though you will find exclusive stalls selling dahi puchka and chocolate puchka.

Being a Delhite I had tried phuchkas in the capital only in CR Park and they are down right my kind of favorite golgappes ..i would love to try Kolkata phuchka now. its weird that I had been to my paternal city so many times but never tried it.. otaa chara aami kolkata te last time jokhon chilaam, aami Mughlai rolls, chaap, kolkata'r chicken alloo biryani, kathi rolls, shingara khechi.. and they were pretty amazing. for me after Delhi, Kolkata has some amazing street food.

Loved your video guys. Being a Bengali myself, I seriously miss PHUCHKA and have to satisfy my palate with its poorer cousin PAANIPURI since I live in Mumbai for several years now. And since I studied and worked in Delhi, so I have tried GOLGAPPAS too. They're quite nice! But yes nothing compared to our CITY OF JOY's PHUCHKA. The burst of taste inside your mouth mixed with the feeling of awesomeness... Really...I mean.. My mouth is already watering... You guys should have checked the phuchka wala-- Pravesh phuchka wala selling 20 different types of PHUCHKA near Garden Cafe,Alipore. ..I don't know if he's still there!! You could check it out perhaps

One little child sold balloons beside them near the 3rd fuchka seller.... They brought a green balloon behind the camera i think... this type of little boys are really needy people and they help him ... this is the best part of this video i think

In a place in Teretti Bazar (China Town) in Calcutta, there sits a man called Kamla who sells the tastiest puchkas with aludum gravy instead of the regular khatta pani. Love that 😍

the child green ballon doesnt have spots . akshay's green baloon have white spots so probably different balloon
