Savannah, GA has an amazing food scene. Southern US can be an interesting place to visit. Savannah's beautiful.

As a life long resident of Chicago, I would have to say we have tons of great restaurants. We’re famous for our deep dish pizza and Chicago style hot dog (never any ketchup!) 😊

Dallas has amazing food (TexMex, BBQ) but New Orleans is definitely the place to go for in my opinion the best food in the US (beignets, jambalaya, seafood, King Cakes, etc)

My grandfather insisted on eating biscuits and gravy for breakfast EVERY DAY. This isn't unusual in Arkansas, where he came from. He became paralyzed on one side due to a stroke when he became older.

Hi Jordan and Emily, funny to see you both walking around the streets of Portland Oregon. If the have an Einstein Bagel near you, they have really good Bagels with different flavored Cream Cheese and sandwiches.

Thanks so much! it's such a great region, we are loving the views in the PNW, it's getting us more and mroe excited to venture into some places where you guys visited like the icefields parkway! We wish we could make it to NOLA, it might not be on the cards for us this trip though :(

You should have tried Dutch Bros coffee! That's a local favorite here!

Ha.. great comparison to the biscuit being like a dry non-sweet scone. I thoroughly enjoy them but they can be oddly dry. I didn't know Jordan & Emily in the USA was what I needed, but i think these videos will be a hit!

@@JordanandEmily tbh based on your other Portland vid, you missed a lot 😬. Portland takes a bit of discovering though, I don’t think I’d recommend going about town only armed with online research. Thankfully, people here are happy to chat and give some good recs!

Oh nooo, not Starbucks. It's the only coffee I've ever thrown out lol. I do wonder if Aussie Starbucks is different from U.S. though. Those squirrels are sooo darn cute.

I think you definitely got some great spots in! Would highly recommend trying to ask the locals best sports next time you come visit. As a place known for coffee it was disappointing that you only went to a chain instead.

We think so too! Usually we get more local recommendations from youtube comments but since this was out first stop in the US we had to rely on blog posts 😞 we'd love to try some good coffee though!

Biscuits that are really good aren’t dry like that one was. Come to the south and they are much better/less expensive! If you come to Dallas would love to show you guys around to the best spots!

Please be very careful in Portland. Crime is rampant. Many big-name businesses have left the city due to crime.

there was only a couple of times we felt a little bit uneasy - in our next video we actually avoid doing something just because the area felt a little.. dodgy.. We've left Portland now and have moved up to Seattle though!

Yes there are lots of anti fascist people in Portland, lots of WW2 veterans and their family call Oregon home.

There is no way the food is worth it. I'm not trying to get stabbed by some crazy homeless dude. Literally, the last place I would go.

That seems to be a common thought! We only really had one time we felt a little uneasy but can certainly see why the city would make people feel uncomfortable... good donuts though 😅
