There really is something so satisfying about going to Starbucks on your own and treating yourself. I just got my driver's license a few months ago and the thing I was most excited about was taking myself to Starbucks

I had gotten my license at 17 but didn't drive for like a year and half/two years because I was too scared. I finally drive now, and the first place I went was my favorite coffee shop!

Any chance you can do some videos with historical recipe books Grace? I miss the cooking videos and found you through the ration book ones. Given that lots of us have run out of money this year I wonder if it might be a good time to pick up a series on economic recipes which used to be recommended for people setting up their new homes. Cookies with minimal ingredients but multiple variations, and foods that don’t need lots of fuel to cook for example. I’m thinking about books from about 1880 to about 1980, when ingredients, language and tech are recognisable but in some ways distant enough to feel a bit like a foreign country.

Affogato is exactly that: ice cream drowned ( affogato) in coffee 😆 I may try it with a oreo mcflurry , I think it might be really tasty

My McDonald's hack is to crumble up an apple pie and mix it into a plain McFlurry. Hey presto - apple crumble McFlurry at an edible temperature.

48 hours in York!! its such a lovely city and plenty to do😊

Local coffee shops often have fun unique flavors of seasonal lattes too, these people obsessed with 'hacking starbucks' would be thrilled at all the other options already curated for them at small businesses! :)

In Denmark the hot chocolate always came with a bit of ice creme in it! Now it's an option when you order and they charge you for it. It's soo good!! 😍

McDonald's vanilla milkshake with an espresso poured in and mixed, also good with choccy milkshake and espresso. Hot choccy with espresso for a hot mocha. Buy a double cheeseburger and a mayo chicken, separate the burgers so each one is with half the bun, put the mayo chicken complete in the middle between the burgers. Called a McGangbang and is one of my fave hacks.

love making the espresso in the mcflurry. i used to make a wrap on the nights with bbq sauce, lettuce, cheese and a piece of qtr meat. so good.

The UK seems so inexpensive compared to France, we had 3 chips last time at McDonalds and it costed like 16 euros

speaking of McDonalds food hacks, my friend told me that she got a chicken nugget happy meal, and a hamburger (she avoids cheese so you could do a cheeseburger) and she put 2 nuggets under the patty and 2 on top... swears its the best thing ever

sour cream and sweet chili is amazing, great topper for wedges and chips too!

We have that in Spain 😂 it’s called cafe helado (coffee ice cream) they serve it in all of the McDonald’s in Spain

The espresso is much more concentrated that a hot chocolate, hence why it didn't work as well

I worked at McDonald’s for about a year years ago. I’m in Canada and they actually sold afigatos. It wasn’t a huge seller but they were good.

I think you should do 48 hours in Salisbury, it's not as interesting as Amsterdam, but as someone who lives here it would be nice to see the city through the eyes of someone who hasn't spent much time there before.

Hey Grace I’m usually a silent commenter but I’m itching to know something. A while ago you had a dairy update and I’m wondering if there’s been any more since? I did get into a phase of watching different KZreadrs for a bit and now I’m back and seeing this I’m like woah. But, last year I found out I’m lactose intolerant (or dairy intolerant, one of the two) and now dairy makes me sick. I’d love to know if you still do dairy free kinda videos? Watching this, I’d love to try the McFlurry thing, but it’ll make me so sick. (I’m only like half way in the video at the minute but curiosity killed the cat) and I feel the only one I’d be able to try as of right now is the cheeseburger wrap because they have the Mcplant. Not at all trying to be rude or in any way disrespectful I just feel like I’ve missed something and I kinda wanna see some dairy free alternatives to these kinda videos.
