Fufu is made from blended casava plant which is basically like a root. They blend it and then cook it so it becomes that doughy texture. It usually doesn’t have much of a flavor so that’s why it’s a side dish cause it kinda takes on the flavor of whatever u dip it in

They ain’t even eating the real fufu over there in the US. It’s mostly pounded yam they make and sell there and everyone over there creating contents just call it ‘FUFU’ lol 😂. It’s fine though. But don’t get the fuss sometimes cause pounded yam is so close to mashed potatoes 🥔 and I will never understand why they always say it’s messy bla bla bla Like there are no foods that are wayyyyyy messier in America and almost everyone eats them.
