I love how you asked for African food and he immediately thought Bunny Chow 😢 as an Indian he touched my heart in a way I cannot describe. If you asked me what my favourite South African meal to share with you would be Samp and Beans. Boontjies (beans) and pap. Amagwinya with polony and eggs and Chicken dust! For a snack, fresh boiled mealies or amadumbe. Those are my favourites.

Simply love the Ubuntu explanation because that is exactly how South Africans are.

Here we see one of the main differences between visiting South Africa and Colombia. When South Africa recovers economically it will be the top/best tourist destination in the world.

@kagimanye1757 interesting. Cuban economy is largely state run. Let alone having ro deal with US tade embargo. Of course EFF n MK want the same for SA, but will cloak it differently as freedom for blacks. South Africas economy will only turn when Government (Anc and all others) create jobs for people , not Government hand outs n nationalisation but jobs in the small mediums and large coporate space. Cadres will have more tax to steal and spend on social issues. Jobs are not achieved by cutting a small pie into different shapes n sizes (BBBEE, EE act) because this government is excellent at rationing pieces for race, but hopeless to create n make the pie bigger for all to eat.

Bro if you're looking for the authentic food of Cape Town or South Africa then here's where to start: - Bo Kaap for authentic Cape Town cuisines of the Coloured/Malay People. - The Gatsby is the largest sandwich in the world but the ingredients are authentic to SA. - Try Biltong, Koesisters*, Malva Pudding, Milk Tart, Bobotie, Boerewors, the local fish(we're surrounded by 2 oceans), Castle Lager Beer, and Vetkoek. - The Bunny Chow is an authentic South African Indian Cuisine, the best place to try it is ONLY in Durban (The other major Coastal city). - More good local cuisines are our curries and biryani which varies between Cape Town and Durban (Cape Town for the Malay influence and Durban for the Indian style). - Lastly, the most important South African thing is the Braai: Local meat cooked over a woodfire at a gathering (like a barbecue, but better). This is my personal 'must try' authentic foods in SA list. We are a melting pot of different cultures so the food varies everywhere you go... also try and check out the outskirts of Cape Town, the city is huge, like either a trip around Table Mountain or the further areas places like Stellenbosch, Hermanus, and Franschhoek. The best choice is to get a local to show you around because the CBD area is just the 'starter pack' for the tourists 😅.
