    Fellow Goldendoodle breeder here in Arizona, That is indeed a great way to noise desensitize them to loud sounds when they are older they are less prone to be scared of loud noises, like fireworks etc. Good job!!

    Love the info and videos. We have been breeding for several years. Our standard practice is moving puppies out of their whelping area to a bigger nursery pen at four weeks. Zero issues with the move until the litter I have now. Our litter turned four weeks on Saturday. I got the larger pen all set up and moved them to the new area. One of the puppies just cries constantly in the new area. Even if mom is in the pen with them. The other puppies are fine with the move. At first I was worried something was wrong so I moved everyone back to the whelping area for twenty four hours and the crier was fine all day Sunday. Tried moving them back out again today and once again the other puppies are fine and this one is just inconsolable unless I personally sit in the pen. I’m honestly at a loss of why this particular puppy is having such a hard time. I’ve had no issues with this litter, nothing out of the ordinary. The crier is the biggest, most active puppy. Should I wait a week and try again? Have him just tough it out? Like I said I’ve never had a pup get so upset about moving to the nursery pen.

    What about a heating pad? And I had one group that was particularly loud and I started using a sound machine! The white noise helped a lot. Feel free to email me and we can talk!

    Can I get the OFA #? I want to verify that the dogs are health tested. Throwing in an edit bc my comment was deleted: you can put pennhip results onto OFA. This is a BYB or puppy mill!

    We do preliminary testing OFA and Penn hip for final results. So the results will be at Penn hip.

    Can someone please tell me how you keep the living area clean while the puppies are one to three weeks?? Do you constantly change out the pads?

  • @DoodlesofNC

    @DoodlesofNC

    Yes! We do a lot of cleaning every day. I also go and make sure pretty regularly that nobody’s had an accident off the tray and if they have as fast as possible. If you start using our potty Trey system, they keep an area pretty clean after about 5 to 6 weeks.

    Hi we have been following your channel and we love how you treat your little puppies. My son is in love of every single dog that you show. We want to get one of yours puppies but my son has some allergy issues with the dog saliva and liquids so we want to ask you as a breeder if you know any technique or procedure that can help him to lower his reaction so he can finally can get one of your beautiful puppy. He also has ADHD and I know having a dog will help him with a lot of his issues please I would love to know any of your advice

    Hello! You could def avoid licking and teach the dog not to give kisses. 😚 our personal dogs are not overly affectionate like that! Mostly because we don’t like that!

    I wish we could see more of the two litters playing together in the garage nursery. Is Pudge’s continuous heavy panting anxiety or is she overheating?

    @@DoodlesofNC how many litters has Tilly had? She’s earned her retirement and I am sure her family will be thrilled to enjoy her retirement with her. You show regular the neurological stimulation but rarely talk about how you work with families that have your breeders and how often you breed and what traits you’re breeding for. From reading through the comments I don’t think a lot of people are aware all that goes into choosing who to breed and where and how they live when they are not in your care with a litter. I think some people see the process is more random and luck than it actually is. With your litter sizes and success (health of puppies) of what you’re producing is exceptional I would find it difficult to see it as random or luck.

    Tilly had 4, this is what we do if everyone is healthy and happy. I appreciate the suggestion. I breed for health for sure but also for temperament. I’ll try to talk more about it.
