I love how the oldest and the vintage yet simple cheap noodle ones work the best. Really shows you don’t need to spend so much time and effort and money to get nice curls. When I was little my aunt used to put those on my head overnight before Christmas and holidays so I would have curly hair. It was pure joy 😂

Ma’am I know you are black. That’s the reason why I commented under you. But if we actually talk about research. The “flexi rods” are actually called perm rods under the 1965 patent. When flexi rod name was by a white stylist who wanted to distinguish the two perm rods. Both items were patented under the same name and have the very similar design for a reason. I just trying get the word out because the black community is pushing more for gatekeeping. And we can’t do that if we’re not informed on everything

the overnight robe tie curls work super well! youre actually supposed to have the section of your hair by your face moving away from your face, and the back section wrapping around it toward your face. think of it like a braid, with the ribbon as the third section, but instead of just swapping the hair piece to the opposite side like you would in a braid, wrap it around all the way so that the pieces of hair are always on their own original side of your head it also works best if you use two ribbobs that cross in an "x" shape on the top of your head if you have a LOT of hair like mia does. hers didnt turn out because she had too much hair all together and it didnt have a chance to dry properly. i also dont recommend wrapping them into those buns at the end either
