DO'S vs. DONT'S HEATLESS SOCK CURLS
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
DO’S versus DON’TS for heatless curls! 💇🏻♀️ I see a lot of comments on the socks unraveling so this is how I do it to fix that problem 🥰

My momma did my hair like this only with strips of fabric. We called them rag curls.

This reminds me of when my aunt gave herself REALLY TIGHT heatless curls with bendy straws, it took her almost 3 hours to do her whole head since she was using such little sections. And took her almost 2 hours to take out

My mam would do this to my hair with strips of plastic carrier bags, it was impossible to sleep with them in haha
So nice to see a newer generation using the same things we used years ago

Literally spent 30 minutes trying to get my hair around the socks. I would've been done doing my hair with a curling iron by now😂. But I must admit after I did my left side nearly then moved to my right then undid my left side to try again that it looked good. I know I need more practice so will keep trying because this will eventually become a time saver. Thanks for the tutorial.

My hair was down to my knees up until just a month ago when I'd trimmed quite a bit off... it's now up to the bottom of my butt and Ive been using a lightweight scarf and a cloth headband that I'd connected the scarf to... It works like dreammm and I like it so much better than even leggings. I just wanted to give you ladies even more options/idea's.😁🤙

thanks for the tips, super helpful!! i did. sock curls tonight and i will see the results tomorrow edit: it was cute! the curls weren’t too tight they loosen up as the day goes on. i would recommend dampening your hair before you do it and maybe adding some product to your hair. have a great day!

Do you have to wet them before you do this?
I am 63 years old an my Mom put "rag" curls in my hair when I was young using pieces of old towel. Same thing.
Am I the only one that does a really uncomfortable heatless curl method to the point where it’s hard to even sleep only to have the curls stay in for five minutes the next morning 💀💀

Jel or curl crème before wrapping might help. Then hairspray after separating the curls.

Girls I have long thick straight hair and curls doesn’t stay. So while doing the heatless curls you might want to spray some water and next day use the hard hold hair spray before you untie it and when you untie it..crunch and set and use a bit more spray it WILL stay even till next day
Omgosh this actually was so helpful thank you!!!!!
There are sooo many videos on doing these curls, but this is the best one I've seen! Most practical explanation and helps to troubleshoot what you could be doing wrong! Subbed! ❤
Welp, saw it a little too late. I just did the "Don'ts" last night. 😭 Thank you very much for the tutorial, this is the best one I've seen.

Thank you being so precise with us🙌❣️ some shorts are sooooo speedy that I have to replay a few times which defeats the point of a short being clear, concise and short! But who has time for that. I got this!
For really long hair... I use a Terry cloth bathrobe belt tie or a twisted tea towel (aka flour sack towel--it's thin cotton w/ a smooth nap also great for scrunching bc it doesn't yield frizz). Fold into a triangle then twist into a roll/log or use the robe tie as is. Place the center atop your head and do the hair twisting like normal. A light spritz of water on dry hair will aid the curl to set. I twirl each side into a space bun and secure w/ a scrunchie. Holds overnight. Key point, as she said: don't twist the sock as it'll just untwist upon letting go. Just twist the hair--twisting the hair AND coiling tightly w/ coils close together for a stronger curl.
This is the best tutorial I’ve seen on this technique. Thank you!!!

I liked how the sock was turned upwards at the end of the demonstration. Thank you for sharing.
you're an angel I've been suffering with loosening but thanks to you, I could finally make it perfect 🙏🙏
for me, i found it really hard to keep the sock in place while doing the curls, so i used a hair sectioning clip to hold it in place and it made the entire process so much easier!
Finally someone who just made this clear 😌
Best explanation of any video of this!! 🙌🙌🙌👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼❤️❤️❤️❤️
THANK YOU! I think my straight hair is more easy to manage but it’s way to basic! I love heatless curls that don’t require sleeping uncomfortably in French braids.
Love this vid I stay coming back to refresh my brain when I do heatless curls to make sure I’m doing it right

Thank you! I kept giving up because it would be too loose. Sock curls tonight. ✨️
THANK YOU for the thorough explanation! All these other videos on KZread never show the back or how to properly do it 😭
Ooh I’ll definitely try the technique of pulling hair from the back I think that’s what i was missing since the front was super curly and the back was more straight when I tried it. Thank you so much!!
