It has been used as the national anthem in the common wealth games for many years now. It's basically unofficially classed as England's national anthem.

I’m born and raised in England but I’m not white nor am I an Anglo Saxon nor do I have English ethnicity or English blood or DNA. I’m brown. My dad is born and raised in England and he’s like me, he’s also brown. My mum is born in Pakistan but she’s lived in England longer than she’s lived in Pakistan. Am I English or not?

I identify as English as I’m born and raised in England and I have an English accent. Precisely a Wolverhampton accent. People have told me I’m British but not English. They say English is an ethnicity only exclusive for white people. I’d say it’s an ethnicity and a nationality/national identity

You don’t have English blood? Yeah, you do - your Dad was born in England so you have English blood. Colour, ethnicity etc… means naff all. You were born and raised here. Whether you like it or not, pal, you’re English 👍

@@chrisp3330 But my dad’s parents were not born in England they were born in India and to be more specific they were born in an area which is now modern day Pakistan. I’m born in England and so is my dad but my grandparents are not English and were not born in England but they were British as they moved to England and got a British passport and citizenship. My grandad actually fought for the British Army and he fought in Burma and the British government invited him to live in England and the rest is history and then my dad and siblings were all born in England which makes them British and English according to me and then my dad married a Pakistani woman which is my mum but she isn’t legally a Pakistani anymore as she hasn’t got a Pakistani passport and she’s lived in England longer than she’s lived in Pakistan and she has a British passport and citizenship so I’d class her as British but not English because she’s not born in England but she still supports England in cricket as she lives in England and England is her home so it’s complicated but yeah I’d class myself as English because I’m born and raised in England and I’m also British but some people don’t agree and a lot of non white people say to me that I’m not English or British and I hate the term British Pakistani because it’s stupid to me. I’m not a Pakistani. I’m not born in Pakistan. I don’t have a Pakistani passport or citizenship. Yes it’s my ethnicity but that doesn’t mean anything to me and I don’t care about it. I hope you read all of this and mate what do you think about what I wrote? I’m not sure if I’ve got English blood to be fair

We all know what’s the English anthem. It’s not God save the King that’s the British anthem. About time us English have their own anthem.
