We always take our shoes off at the door...made our kids do it too...your floors stay cleaner that way.

In CO there’s always a line of shoes at the front door at my daughter’s house. All of the kids’ visitors shuck off their shoes on the way in. Everyone seems to do that, maybe the snow? Not sure but when they visit the farm in GA off comes the shoes at back door. Saves a lot of dirt tracked in on tennis shoes and boots. Now if only the adults would do that!

I live in Canada, everyone takes there shoes off in the house. How gross to wear outside shoes inside. Plus if small rocks, etc get stuck in your shoes you can scratch your floors.

That dirty water hack is FANTASTIC

The DRY O Cedar mop head is a fantastic dust mop, if you’re not into swifter trash. I use a dry one to get the dust from my floor, baseboards, and crown molding. Ceiling fans… you get the idea.

Adding super hot water from a kettle takes it up another level and gets even MORE dirt out. Dishwasher pods work great for this too, but would recommend that more for tile or luxury vinyl, and not for stone or wood. 😉

Not that hot, or you end up breathing all the chemicals from the floor cleaner. And maybe some of them won't work that well with boiling water.

@@MSuyay if you use something like powdered Tide or a pod, it needs the heat to dissolve. And those aren’t as harmful. But you definitely want to avoid super hot water with bleach or ammonia, because the fumes… 🤢🤢🤢

This is why you also need to leave the dirty shoes outside and have shoe covers for your guest. it'll saves you a lot.

I try that no one in my family taking off theirs shoes and dog hairs too

I do the same with 2 buckets and warm water. I also clean the floor with the mop completely soaked the first time and then absorbe it back with the mop thoroughly squeezed. It's the only way you can get the floors completely clean. Those pods are probably going to leave some residue on the floors.

@@enjoy7024 all these cleaning videos these people have bigger kitchen sinks and their bathrooms are bigger than 2 of my bedrooms combined and they say they run out of space 🤨

I used the liebman floor forever. But my husband said not good for hardwood floor. Coming from a retired contractor. I like the o cedar I use a bucket the same way, but sometimes it’s too heavy to dump. Plus I got a dog…weee so much fun cleaning everyday especially being an old lady.

No dirty mop spreading dirt for me. I use a Karcher floor cleaner - it keeps clean and dirty water separate and you can do the whole ground floor in minutes - plus the floor is virtually dry immediately.

Yes, I am with you. When I met my hubby 20+yr ago he had one of these dirt pushers mops. Threw that right out, and got a proper mop🙂

I love the O Ceder mop a lot I use mine every other day. I also use the swiffer dust mop too, I love it too...I'm heading stright down to the dollar store now to get the pods. Thank you so much. I use so many of you Hacks and boy has it ever helped me. Thank you so much for the tips....

To stop washing pods getting stuck in the door & not dissolving don’t put them at the top of your washing but under an item or two.

Thank you for the informative videos. Quick question, can the laundry pod mopping hack be used on luxury vinyl plank flooring?

I usually use three buckets: one for fresh water, one for the cleaning solution and one to squeeze the dirty water into. THIS laundry pod idea sounds GREAT ! Now all I need is my new O-Cedar spin mop.

Those new spin mop buckets have a separate spot for the soapy water & water off the mop.. love them

I use tide with a little Pinesol works and smells good

I seen one of you're older videos on the dolar tree flat mop system and I had to go get me one they was out of all there mop pads and duster pads and poles I was heartbroken but I did get the head I went back agin there still out

I LOVE your videos but I am wondering about mopping hardwood with water??? My flooring installer advised that mopping with water would make my warranty invalid. I only use Bona on my woods. I do use water & Fabulouso with the O'Cedar mop on my tile.

Why do you think the laundry pods work better then floor cleaner?

Im going to have to get one of those mops and try this. I'm a housekeeper and I've tried everything on floors. And I just can't figure out how to get some floors looking great like I'd like it to look. Also does it smell good too? My clients love to come home to a great smelling home.

Are you rinsing floor also ?

Do you rinse the floor after? I am thinking the detergent is not rinse free, there will be a layer of soap on the floor when it dries up?

EARTHCLEAN product that is earth friendly. Simply place a sheet In with the laundry. The sheets dissolve NO DETERGENT IS NECESSARY. Sheets are mildly sented. I have completely removed detergent & other products. Can order online❤

If you have pets it might not be a good idea to use pods. It might be toxic for them. They walk on the floor then lick their paws. I have 7 dogs and use vinegar and warm water to clean my floors.

Why do you wear shoes in your house? You would clean less if you just wear house shoes. Try it! I buy my $1 flip flops at Old Navy.

This mop sucks. I bought one and hate it. The microfiber rolls under the plastc piece and ends up scraping over the floor. It's annoying. Not only that, but even fully extended it's still too short for me. Not a good mop for a person say 5'10 like me. If I could return it I would
