Yeah, me also.
That flap-sanding trick alone is worth the price of admission.
Who knew rubber bands were the unsung hero of the woodworkers shop. Awesome tricks.
Rubber bands have to be one of the best clamps that are under used, and simply don’t think of it. Awesome tips as always.

Rubber band clamps something every kid that built a model airplane used 50 years ago. Don't ask me how I know this . Also the dowel sander also works with scotch bright to polish holes made in metal pieces.

Rubber bands are great clamps for a lot of purposes. And if you need a very large band, you can tie a loop in a length of rubber hose.
Best dollar I've ever spent. Rubber band on squeeze clamp. Thanks Izzy
Great video, great tips. Now I just have to remember them. Hahaha. The pinking shears are a great idea.
I liked the magnet and the flap sander. Simple and easy, and I would not have thought of it myself.

For stronger, more durable rubber bands you can cut up used inner tubes. They come in all different sizes and you can cut them radially to get rings at whatever width you need or cut them along the circumstance into long strips which are handy for clamping odd shapes. Make friends at a local bike shop and you can probably get an assortment of busted tubes for free or cheap
Izzy you been around a long time and you are truly an innovative, knowledgeable, and very talented maker. Much respect.

I would even further. He is simply a genius. YES you are 😊. I hope you realize that, Izzy. And you seem to be a very friendly person too.
Izzy you are like the Dali Lama of shop tips. There are lots of tips are posted on the web that help you do one thing once in a while. But your tips are actually helpful every day....or at least every week or two. That edge banding tip alone was awesome. No more strips of tape hanging off my sleeves.
As a professional mechanic I actually have a squirt bottle of dish soap and water at my toolbox. It’s great for slipping hoses back on cars and you can spray your hands and wash with it if you’re not near a sink. Lots of great tips in this video Izzy!

Loved turning the dowel into a flap disk. Definitely a game changer for handsanding. As for sandpaper on painting stick, I apply sand paper on a reciprocating saw blade without the teeth and makes quick work out of sanding in between areas. Just don’t go full blast with saw.
anybody else feel stupid cause you haven't done a few of these and didn't even think of them?

I have done the picking shears with a used gift card to spread the glue when I glued two sheets of plywood to make my workbench top.
I put some rubber band edge clamps in my cart for a project where I need to do a lot of edge banding, but haven't paid yet. Now I can empty my cart and use the 50 spring clamps I already own. brilliant idea! Thank you
love those sanding hacks. Will use that on my next sculpture for sure!
Love the magnet trick very handy!

Office rubber bands work well with so many out of the office scenarios. That sandpaper flapper is also cool. Used many variations of those back in my machine shop days working on various internal diameters.

Great tips! I created sanding files with various grits, and I out the grit number on each stick so I know which one it is. I used spray adhesive instead of velcro. They work great for tighter areas. I should get some rubber bands.

Izzy every morning I watch 2 or 3 Woodworking videos for tips and how-to's, you always have great stuff and I enjoy them immensely! I have a small Garage/Shop or is that Shop/Garage... anyway... it's small, for Christmas I got a Bora Centipede and a Mikita Track-Saw... all ready I've made a MDF Dog Hole 2x4 work table and use the other end for a flat 2x4 work station. It has made a big difference in a work area efficiency... I have some cabinet projects where I have to rip some 4x8 sheets of plywood the track-saw will make a big difference along with the Bora Centipede... plus my job site table saw will get a rest. Again, great tips keep up the good work... all the best in 2023 you and Maggie!
Thanks Izzy, good Tips and Tricks. Happy new year to you!
Learned a few new ones today. Thanks Izzy.

Great tips.Tnx
Great tips, thanks
Another Izzy video that is informative, entertaining and doesn't follow the KZread norm. I made band clamps with bicycle inner tubes over the jaws. Otherwise, the other ideas are "Why didn't I think of that" variety. Gotta go buy some rubber bands. Thanks.
rubber band spring clamps for edge banding, dowel with sandpaper, really great stuff, will absolutely be using the dowel trick sometime soon. Along with your paint stick sanding file, super 77 and some sheet sand paper is easy peasy and what I use in the shop!
Great tips, as always.
very helpful tips and tricks, thanks
