The credit for making the software so responsive goes to Andy Wyatt of Adaptronics. I love Adaptronic software just for the speed.

Andy is the man! As sad as I was to see Adaptronic go, I’m glad Andy is still innovating the industry with Haltech

So with 4 x 25 amp outputs I will chew up 3 of them with 2 460 walbro fuel pumps and a 3000 cfm spal fan ?

Same issue I'm currently facing right now. 2x255HP, 2x 1400cfm SPAL, 1x davies craig water pump, injectors, coils, headlights, wipers... Reckon we'd need a pdm16 expansion unit or even more

The Nexus is a single unit, BUT, depending on your application you might need a second PDM. Only you and your application can answer that - Taz.

Hey guys question I need dual wideband . Would I need to buy a separate wideband controller then to make it work with the r3? I’m running twins and want to have accuracy by targeting 1-3 and 4-6 cylinder separately.

Ideally yes, it doesn't have a dual wide band option like the R5 does. I would speak directly with Haltech and see what specific setup they advise, or whatever dealer you purchased your R3 through should be able to sort you out as well - Taz.

You can buy a wb1 and use the internal wideband in conjunction to have a dual wideband essentially

I don't think they have any plans to at this stage. There isn't a great amount of demand for DI stuff in the aftermarket yet when it comes to cost vs reward - Taz.

what you think to compare nexus r3-r5 vs fueltech. 450/550?

They are a bit different. One is an ECU integrated with a dash, the other is an ECU integrated with a PDM if you simplify things. Haltech are focused on having you use one piece of software to deal with it all and are working towards that across their entire range (they are already there with the ECU/PDM) and Fueltech are more aimed at those looking for a minimalist setup physically. Different people will find different value in either option and neither will be wrong if that is what suits them - Taz.

@@hpa101 personal proyect here...i dream with a build stering hand wheel with comands, tc, boost ,mix etc... for turbo and daily and with fueltech that is not posible, so agree with you coment. i think what the price combo its a factor. nexus r3 + dash. vs ft with something of display its a indesicion. because nexus r3 in my case its about old car.so i need screen. litle more expensibe but delicus jaja

The Haltech carries a good bit of extra IO pins. I had a FT550 for my Trailblazer 4.2 Liter build and while it would take all my stock sensors + run my 4L80E transmission, I didn't have any room for more sensors or switches without an expander module. Fueltech also doesn't support cruise control or knock sensors! Sold it and my R3 just arrived today, can't wait to get it up and going. As far as the digital dash though, most screen options on the market are exceedingly expensive as they often carry more input expansion and other sensing/GPS and datalogging onboard. I'm considering the powertune digital dash as it's only ~$600 vs $1100+ for first party ones, which will bring my total investment to about $600 more than the fueltech setup. Painful yes, but not as bad as a roadtrip vehicle without cruise control haha. The PDM functionality itself is great too. I won't be leveraging it too much, but it will at least give me lines for a transmission cooler fan, oil cooler fan, and possibly dual fuel pumps or some other functionality I haven't dreamt up yet. Certainly convenient.
