Johnny’s ability to work with Zach is honestly so impressive. That’s not me saying that Zach seems difficult to work with, but rather Johnny’s asking Zach what he calls certain mixes and referring to them by Zach’s names from then on and double checking with him to make sure he didn’t grab salt instead of sugar and things like that. That’s an excellent way to teach someone and guide someone and I just think it’s very impressive he’s able to pull that off and have the patience for it.

Black forest cake would acually be perfect for Eugene, because the traditional identifying ingredient is cherry schnapps. It is literally a recipe MADE for Eugene. Bake cake, dredge in schnapps, put schnapps in cream, dunk cherries in schnapps, add cherries to cake, serve. The recipe in the video is literally just a devil's food cake with cherry decoration. Not what it's supposed to be.

I know this is an old comment but a Michelin Star is awarded to a restaurant not a chef. So it's a misconception when people say michelin-starred chef. When the chef leaves, the award stays with the restaurant and they don't bring it to their next employment

they were wrapped in saran wrap - you can see it when he's putting them into the mixing bowl later. but still.... that's not waterproof! should've been in a dry bowl, place the WHOLE BOWL into another bowl of hot water. that would've been a little smarter. but.... it seems to have worked out okay!

I was screaming at the screen when everyone was disappointed about the appearance because I think the guys did a great job. Zach didn't even know what he was doing and Keith was able to keep the cake together.

Jimmy's reaction to the cake was so hilarious and was my reaction when the cake started falling apart lmao the whole video was so funny. Zach and Jonny's dynamic was cute. The egg shell part made me laugh.

I’ll always live without a recipe, but this is the next level. Getting the chefs to plug their dish before they’ve even seen it is the (proverbial AND literal!) icing on the cake. I genuinely cracked up.

I have cackled THREE TIMES so far because of the butter debacle 😂 - “the sticks of butter need to soften to room temperature.” “I can put them in my pockets for a lil bit” - when Keith put the butter IN the water UNDER the glass bowl - the check-in point with the soggy mess of butter

Can I just say we NEED Jonny to come back to judge a realistic cake making competition where the 3 guys have to make all different realistic cakes that look like weird items

What gets me…the chocolate bar “fortress walls” aren’t all facing the same way

I came to rewatch this one after the new one, and I still cannot fathom how Jonny lost after Keith put *entire bars* of baking chocolate on the outside of his cake.

The fact that they make them act as if it was all them, is comedy gold! "MY masterpiece! as God intended. I can't believe I made so many decisions!"

Honestly I thought I’d never love a series as much as “Without a recipe”. But this series is absolutely my new favorite. I’m obsessed. It’s absolutely hilarious. 😂

I’m so sad Eugene wasn’t here to witness Zach being called a size queen but am utterly delighted this brilliant and hilarious concept is continuing. Also I swear the quality of the competition videos is getting more and more impressive!!

Please this was one of the funniest episodes ever! 😂 All the jokes landed and the two chefs should definitely come back for more episodes in the future

Would be cool if we uno reverse card-ed this and had the tryguys control pros haha have them make their weird recipes and see how the pros will make it work haha

OMG, I LOVE JONNY! He is the only one fully equipped to deal with The Try Guys. His wits are so quick. The man really said Zack is a size queen and was so friendly to explain it.

The way I DIED LAGHING when they revealed Zach's eclairs 😭😭😭 This series is brilliant. I dare say I enjoy this more then W-A-R!
