Eugene’s dress, if my partner showed up in that dress to our wedding, I would think it was the most beautiful thing. Let’s be honest Eugene did so good.

Honestly Lauren and Roman are wonderful as always, but Matthew really shines as the expert guest judge. You can tell he really enjoyed being there and was excited to participate, and it was fun to watch!

Wedding gowns do not have to be white. They can be any colour the bride feels comfortable in. White gowns were started by Queen Victoria..it was never a tradition before her.

YES! Exactly this. It's been a tradition for barely 200 years, and only because she got married around the time tabloid papers became a thing, and white was the most expensive colour of fabric at the time. People before that (and even for a long time after that) used to just wear their Sunday best. If they could afford to get a dress made, they'd often get it done in blue because blue was the colour of purity. (It's why the Virgin Mary was almost always depicted in blue in old art.)

That is the concept of the Japanese bridal colour... white used to be a funeral colour in Japan, and black meant formal festive occasions. Brides wore white, because they severed ties with their original family and formal life as a daughter, to create a new life with her husband and his family. Grooms wore black, because he lost nothing, just gained a wife. (¯∇¯;)

guys i just remember that when i first watched this, the part when Zach immitated Ned saying "my name is Ned I love two things weddings and my wife" and Ned went along but like said "I love two things weddings and LOTR" - he did not try to include the "my wife" part which was super off brand for him. i was a little confused at the time because i thought it would be funnier and more like Ned if he said like "i love two things weddings and LOTR.. and my wife" something like that. it was his brand so i didn't understand why, especially because he went along with Zach who did say "my wife" ,but i didn't think about this much. now looking back maybe because Alex was on set and he didn't want to say that to make her feel upset or something? because in the past im sure Ned would find a way to include/mention his wife in everything. anyway i cant re watch try guys old videos without feeling uncomfortable. i cant even look at ned 😭

They've gotten comments in the past about Keith being to loud and aggressive during the judging (specifically the baking season) - but the real ones know that he's just playing it up for the comedy and chaos. For myself I know Keith is playing a bit but there's 1 or 2 without a recipe episodes where I genuinely couldn't tell if he was being serious or joking. I love the wedding gown designer Matthew in this. He has such a great personality and sense of humor, and genuinely looks like he's enjoying being there. He was very kind in his judging and gave genuine compliments too.

Just for hilarity factor, Keith won. But, honestly, Eugene's dress is 1000% my favorite dress. Scandal or not when it comes to Ned, that black dress is EVERYTHING.

the whole keith portion had me in tears, couldn't stop laughing, every time he caught a banana or said ding-dong more tears just rolled down my face
