My son's TRX4 Bronco motor died today and I was looking for a slower replacement. Glad I came across the video because I wasn't sure if it would be too slow for trail running. Should help him learn to control his climbs better now.

first time go out after 2 months

That was a killer session! Would you recommend the same setup (1080 and trailmaster 27T) for a gen 8 as well? I'd like to get this level of slow control! Also, I'm running 2s. Thanks man!

a 27t on gen8 will be too slow specially you are on 2s- the gen8 is single speed so that all there is when you want to speed up- a 21t should be ok based on my understanding on motors- you will have a nice slow control- and have a lil bit fair speed. but i havent tested it...what i have done is 12t- with different pinion size but i just cant find that sweet spot...so now im going to brushless (HW fusion 1800) on my gen8..i will test outside soon

I run the same motor in my redcat gen7 sport. Been running it about 2 years n I love it! Love your trx4! Did you make make it into the truck body or buy it like that? I have a traxxas trx4 sport in my opinion the best rtr out!

Hi bro.. thanks for the compliments- i make it truck body. I just cut and made a wooden floor out of popsicle sticks..Hahaha..my redcat gen8 also having same motor and esc.

Is it ok to pair to pair this motort with 1060 esc?

yes it should be- but with 1060, there is not much you can configure to make your rig run smoothly- but for me a good run still depends on the driver control skill
