Great video guys! Ian's Bronco is looking and performing incredibally with the lift and 2.2's! Hard to say which way I'd go with a lift 2.2 or 1.9, both trucks are looking great in their own ways. Makes me want to get a lift kit for my TRX4 Blazer!!! The winch and roofrack/offroad lights add so much scale, absolutely luv it. #goals

Thanks Matt 😊 The lift is nice, "much nicer than I expected, I can't believe that I waited so long to install them.😄 Lift for your Blazer; Your gonna have to get one Matt, otherwise it's just not going to be the same stacked up against the Broncos.😄 As for tires; 1.9's or 2.2's That's a tough call to make, "ultimately" finding a good size balance between the two would be best,🤔 ? Either an extremely tall 1.9 or a somewhat small 2.2.😕 The swampers on Ian's truck are 5.4" inches in outer diameter, and I wouldn't want to go much bigger, (I think that 5.5" might be pushing it on the clearance factor)🤔 But something between say 4.8" and 5.4" would probably be a good choice, The Traxxas High Trail edition Trx4's, come with 5.3" inch tires which is just about right, but something in the 5"-5.2" range, might be better for a good balance "without getting too Huge.🤔😊👍 Winch and other visual effects; Definitely something to strive for in the future, "but the winch is probably the first thing that I would get, and I would probably do that before getting a lift kit, 😄 Having a good strong winch is key with every crawler.😊👍 Back to the lift kits; Prices do vary on the lift kits, "but the black kit is the cheapest, and probably the best looking one in my opinion, the Red and Blue kits are nice, but probably not exactly worth the price "when it comes to the price difference between them" The Red and Blue kits would be worth it if they came with Anodized links, but they don't, the links are powder coated on those two, which is why I don't necessarily care for them, they look great out of the box, but they don't match the anodized aluminum shocks, and the powder coating isn't long for the world, "Rocks and other obstacles, will make quick work of that powder coating,😕 That's one of the nicer aspects of the Black kit, "not only is the black kit cheaper, but it also comes with black anodized links vs being powder coated, which not only match the shocks perfectly, but also slide over the rocks easier than something that was powder coated.😄👍 The black kit is worth the price, and the red and blue version aren't, "if they were anodized it would be a different story, but unfortunately their not, Traxxas going cheap with the powder coating is kind of a turn off.☹️ Powder coat talk; Don't get me wrong, powder coating is one of the toughest or strongest paint coatings that you can get "to combat the elements,🤔 I love powder coated items on quads and dirt bikes, but not so much on the links of a RC vehicle.😄👍 Roof basket and lights; Good goals to strive for if you like the look,😁 And in your situation you're in luck, because I just happen to have a extra trx4 defender roof basket sitting here,😄 You'll have to purchase your own light bar, but I've got you covered on the roof basket if you decide that you want one.😁👍 Thanks for your detailed comments Matt, and much appreciation as always for checking out the show. 😊🤜🤛👉🏆

I enjoyed the run I'm on the fence about the 2.2's it looks cool and period correct during the monster truck phase in the 80's. It definitely looks cool. Curious to see how it looks on bugs sport. Thanks for the video guys👍

Cool...😁👍 As far as the lift & 2.2's; Lift Yes! It's always nice to have extra suspension travel. As for the 2.2's;🤔 not sure really.. maybe some smaller 2.2's would be better, the swampers are 5.4" inches in outer diameter, and the 2.2 Canyon Trails used on the high trail edition, are 5.3" inches,🤔 I'm thinking that something closer to 5" inches would be better, "not too big, but yet not too small" The 2.2 Mud Slingers are 4.88" inches, and that is kinda borderline,🤔 something around 5.1" or 5.2" would probably be best.😕 Start getting too big, and the rollover risks go up substantially! 🤔 I love the extra suspension travel, but I'm seriously on the fence about the larger tires, need to find a good balance between the two. 😕 As for bugs trx4 sport; It would be interesting to see, 2.2's would probably look huge on that truck,🤔 especially since they were originally designed for 1.9's, 1.9's look balanced on the vehicle, but 2.2's might start looking out of place,😕 Which is kinda how they look on the bronco too,🤔 Just a pinch too big for the body, and makes it look like it's riding on 48's,😄 There great for mudding, but maybe not so good for crawling.😕 Much appreciated for your great comment Doug, and many more "as usual" for checking out the show. 😊👍

Have you seen those enormous tires that come on theTraxxas hightrails Those things are ignormous, Anyway🫡👌 I guess they did, make a high,Trx4sport, With those giant tires, it works pretty good., Myself I think, Those things are way too big, I think it throws the scale off🫡

@kevinbreaker2683 The High Trail editions 2.2 Canyon Trails are 5.3" inches tall The Proline 2.2 Interco TSL SX Super Swampers are 5.4" inches tall So Ian's tires are just a wee bit larger than the high trail editions 2.2's 😕 Which do look enormous 😄

@@kevinbreaker2683 Work.... it was a bit of work installing the lift kit, no doubt about it, but it was even more work trying to do it on video, so really it's not all that bad just doing the lift by itself,😄 lol The track retuning was a lot of work too, I hand carved most of those challenging dirt obstacles, literally using my hands like a kid in a giant sandbox.😂 lol

Pros and cons with the 2.2's ... 😕 Yes they look cool, but so do the 1.9's, except that the 1.9's are a better scale fit for the vehicle. Great for crawling; 🤔 ? Yes & No 😕 They are certainly an advantage in some areas, but not necessarily better across the board, "side hilling while climbing up, could very easily cause a rollover,😕 and they tend to be a bit more flip happy on the steep stuff as well, But otherwise they work pretty good compared to a 1.9 😕 Another "but" 🤔 But it all depends on the obstacles as well, and what tire size they where gapped out for initially, "if it's built to give 1.9's a challenge, then 2.2's will naturally have a easier time going through.😕 "Except in this situation" 😄 Since I geared all of the dirt sections towards getting the Red Bronco Stuck.😂 It actually didn't get stuck either, but it did have its share of rollovers, but then again so did I, and it was a hell of a fight getting through the obstacles too. 😄 lol My truck is still in stock from, no reason either, other than I haven't had a chance to get to it just yet,😕 "but when I do lift it, I'll most likely be running some 2.2's to go along with it.😄👍 Thanks for your great comments Kevin, Hopefully you enjoyed the show,🙄 my apologies for the video running short and not being 100% complete,☹️ "apparently it's time for me to replace my phone battery" 🙄 it quit early on the next video as well 😭 Which was the Redcat Gen 8 Comanche with 110mm shocks and 1.9's against the lifted bronco with 1.9's, It's still a great video, but it's a total bummer that my phone's battery won't last for much more than an hour running the camera, with the flash off of all things. So my apologies for the video not being complete, it's kinda killing me a little bit.🙄😕☹️ But otherwise... many thanks for checking out the show bro.😄👍🤜🤛
