Great looking quad! I’m in the middle of rebuilding my 89 that I’ve had since it came off the showroom floor. Quick question, on your temp gauge do you happen to remember what size the fitting is that goes in the hose? I see they come in several different sizes.
@PatrickRiggs33
Жыл бұрын
Thank you! And great question. I'm 99% sure I used a 19mm. It was a tight fit but I put a little dawn dish soap on the barb fittings and the hoses slipped right on.

@PatrickRiggs33

I did! It fits well, and works well. It interfered a little with my CR250 harness so I had to reroute that a little and there was one time where I felt I needed reserve lol. I may switch back I don't know for sure yet.

Is this a stock or aftermarket tank? If it’s stock, did you paint or wrap it or something else? I bought a fourwerx carbon fiber tank cover, but you can still see the red at the front of the tank. I’m trying to figure out the best way to color it black that will last. Thanks
@PatrickRiggs33

It's stock. A Maier tank cover will cover more of the tank than the Fourwerx will.

Its pretty much plug and play. They use a different style bullet connector but its very easy to do.

@PatrickRiggs33

Not sure, just the standard Fatty. I know they made a different one in the 90s/early 2000s but this is not that. I believe it was a "Torque SST" or something to that effect. I also believe FMF discontinued their pipes for the 250r until enough demand builds up again.
