I respectfully disagree. Type of Instruments & surgical technique matters. There is a big difference between using Choi pen for direct hair extraction (and implantation) and using automated FUE (& surgical slit technique) for hair implantation. DHI is not an instrument. It is a surgical procedure/ technique. It lowers blood loss? Yes. It leads to easier implantation? Yes. It leads to lesser hair follicle damage? Yes. It has faster recovery time? Yes It has lower risk of secondary infections? Debatable but I will still lean towards a yes. There is less skin breech in DHI compared to conventional surgical slit technique. Is it faster for hair extraction compared to FUE? No, if automated FUE punch is used. The motorized punch is faster for extraction, leads to large yield in a quicker interval, & it is ideal to harvest large grafts but it has the potential to damage more hair follicles (& scalp tissue) during extraction. Choi pen follicular extraction is much slower. More labor intensive for the surgeon. It is ideal for lesser number of Hair cell extraction. Finally, which is easier? Giving a 45° angle using a Choi 🖊 or using a scalpel & forceps? Choi pen is cleaner, easier, & more efficient for hair implantation. It is "direct implantation" just as the name suggests. It is easier to achieve 45° hair tilt with a Choi pen 🖊 compared to performing the same procedure, using a forceps to embed graft follicles into thousands of surgical slits and ensuring 45° tilt on every hair follicle. It's okay to accept new instruments & techniques in your surgical armaments. Agreed marketers are inflating the price of DHI instruments. This adds to the cost of the surgery. It's better that surgeons accept this device & technique & offer it as an option. Com'on doc. How can you be so toxic towards DHI procedure? It's a new technique that needs more room in the marketplace. The biggest advantage of DHI over FUE is less scalp inflammation, lesser post op risk of infection and associated hair graft loss.

Agree 💯 with you DHI is the safest and best technique for hair transplant. Nowadays 90%people choice for DHI only. Recovery time is fast and Dr or Technician method both having only price difference. As per my opinion using instrument normally technian having more hand on skill
