If you go for for a hair transplant go for dhi method... Not only is less intrusive is safer for the Grafts, actually they can put thick hairs, but keep in mind is more expensive due to the team needed to keep the chain for implanters charged during the procedure. The another method is like a mushrooms field and more risky. Extraction is the same in both cases, what makes the difference is the implantation.

FUE is an extraction method whereas DHI is an implantation method. It doesn't make sense to compare the two.

Even the salespeople who sell the DHI and sapphire blade are mystified about why all the love outside of the USA. I've spoken with them. Marketing hype. African American hair is curly but skilled clinicians can often extract with a slightly-larger punch then say, for a blonde person with thinner hair. Due to curliness they'll sometimes try to talk you into the strip method because one the skin is ex vivo they can see it better with microscopes. That's the claim and if you do FUE and you're African American ask a lot of questions about who's doing the extraction/experience/confidence level that they'll get the number of grafts specified...

Any recommended places for African American?

Finally, I clear understanding of the difference between the FUE vs DHI methods. Several clinics told me that DHI is not recommended for Afro curly hair. I wonder if their clinic is just not as skilled to perform DHI on Afro hair.

DHI is a technique of FUE procedure. It should be DHI vs Sapphire technique in FUE.

Correct I went fir dhi and they shaved my head

I’m going for dhi in December. I’ve been told I don’t need to shave my head but I want to know if the surgeons would prefer to work on a shaved head or if it doesn’t make a difference to them.

Nah don't buy into the sapphire hype. It's a marketing tactic. The procedure is the exact same.

Tbh, there were grammatical mistakes in the video. On top of that, the dhi method showed that the grafts are aligned differently, while the FUE had finer and more stable angling. And they wouldn't talk about it while showing it? The video is quite short and I'm quite convinced that it's biased towards FUE in favour of DHI. I wonder if it's because they offer DHI and not FUE.
