The same kind of technology that Silver can disrupt with his psychokinesis. If Silver decides to do that during any point in the battle, that leaves Trunks without a time travel option, while Silver still has it. Pretty clear winner there, if you ask me.

I mean of course. I like Trunks as a character but even I knew that some Archie comics are fucking nuts when it comes to power scaling and off the walls abilities. Plus, I really can't imagine db characters beating mfs that have almost 50+ years of writing. Especially since db is barely expanding their universe and even then it's slow. Give them like another decade or 2 and they might be able to catch up to comic characters unless they all get nerfed into the ground.

The immediate aggression at the beginning kinda caught me off guard ngl.

The second they mention Silver was immune to butterfly effects from messing through time. He basically became a sort of living paradox, so that key sword wasn't going to one shot him.

To make it clear, almost no one legitamately predicted Silver to win. Everyone assumed Trunks would win due to A) DBZ winning most of their matches up until this point and 2) Death Battle's head writer really hating main series Silver.

Actually out of the 6 times I remember dragon ball being on death battle they only won twice

So... Even without the speed feat, it's possible that Silver would have had this more than in the bag. Him being able to fend off Enerjak, who apparently scaled to super sonic, without a super form himself is pretty insane.

The thing is Nate, not a lot of people like ties all that much and they would get angry if a lot more Death Battles end with a tie. That's most likely why Death Battle stopped doing ties.

I remember Ben saying he wanted to remove the "settle it once and for all" statement from their intros because he doesn't really believe in that anymore/ or possibly never believed in that in the first place. He sees DB as a discussion piece where they put their opinion on who would win out there to either start a conversation or add to an existing one. Well on re-reading this isn't exactly a true "opposite" to what you said, they do believe that the fights they put out are the most likely outcome, but that doesn't mean the conversation on it has to end.

@@handtomouth4690 That’s what I’ve noticed as well. They shy away from definitive statements, and veer more towards which character has the best odds of winning given X-amount of attempts. Personally I prefer this approach, since there will always be an element of chance involved in these hypothetical scenarios; not to mention, context is key.

- I don't think you guys are losers by any means, deserve all that hate, or even hold on to any bad feelings you have for these Death Battles. But you do tend to disagree with a fight with nothing more than "I like this character, so that's why they should win." - They specifically said that Silver can disrupt all of Trunks technology with his psychic powers. This includes Trunk's time travel wrist band. Thus, eventually, Silver would be the only one able to travel through time, as he can perform it without the aid of said technology. Even if you think time travel would equate to a draw, Silver would be the only who has it by the end of the fight. - Death Battle looks for who would win the most times out of all potential matches, not just a couple of times thanks to one really good move or skill. So that means while Trunks could win, say, 40% of the time, Silver has enough advantages to take the win the other 60%. - Yes, they don't know EXACTLY every detail that would happen in a fight, such as who would do what and when, but that's what they are trying to figure out: Based on what abilities they have, they are trying to find out who would generally win more often than not. - Segata vs Chuck was obviously a joke fight. It was never going to have a serious conclusion other than a draw. This is not one of those fights. - I've watched every single Death Battle and am a devoted fan. And they have never not counted something because it was incalculable. I think what you are thinking of is that they disregarded stuff that is unsupported by the original material, such as Tetsuo creating an alternate universe or Jin having full control over his Devil Gene. That's the rule they use: any material that is supported by the original source is viable. Nothing in the the Archie Sonic comics contradicts those feats. It's just saying those speed feats are impossible to measure. I know you probably won't read this, but just know that while I don't think you guys are very skilled in arguing against vs matches, there are still people who don't think you any less for doing so.

The closest thing I can think of when it came to Death Battle disregarding something incalculable was "Wally West vs Archie Sonic", and I only remember them doing that because both combatants had recorded speed feats that made it hard to figure out the upper limit of their speed. And even then, speed was still accounted for to a degree.

@@williamgreci8219 That was more of a case of both characters having super infinite speed which in turn didn't matter in the grand scheme of things. Kinda like how in "Hercules vs Wokung" both had infinite strength, so they moved on what else those two characters had. Or Goku Black vs Reverse Flash where both had time travel paradox power so they moved on what else those two characters had. Or when it turned out both Zatana and Scalet Witch realty warping powers where basically the same. All of these are cases of "these two characters are equal in this stat/ability, so let's focus on others factors". But as you said, they still take into account all of this, but it's not their fault that sometimes characters have equal feats.

The only time I'm indifferent to Death Battles are where I don't know the characters that well. If it's a character I do know, I'll root for them, even if they lose

Nate got it right with "they give the victory to who would win most times". Death Battle's team gets together and try to figure out which character would win most times based on their abilities and skills and equipment and after multiple nerdy debates they give the victory to the character that in theory should win. Cause at the end of the day Death Battle isn't "who would win", but "who should win". And in this episode's case Trunks could beat normal Silver, but Super Silver could take everything Trunks could do. Oh! And draws are only used for joke fight or the very rare cases where two charactes are perfectly equal. Which is why it's been years since the last draw.

@@MRfunnyordie3 no they aren't they are maybe 10% accurate they don't do real research sometimes they don't even use one sides feats they think speed means everything so Kirby riding his star means he is as fast a buu they depower anime and marvel characters they estimate way to much on their math when they have no way to measure feats they let Sonya blade use a freaking robot in a one on one fight they gave link all his best items but didn't give cloud anything but starting items and said the gauntlets link was using that let's him brace heavy impacts means it gives him extra strength when it doesn't they think super man is this unbeatable God when plenty of people in dc and marvel can beat him I cam go on and on

Trunks didn't sound like he was shouting to be fair. That's what I tend to use Exclamation Marks for if I heard someone shout.

Incalculable speed=immeasurable speed which means this:(Movement beyond linear time. This is why the speed cannot be measured. Given that S = D/T, if T is undefined the speed formula cannot be applied. This is the same reason why multiple temporal dimensions also grant immeasurable speed.)

Sorry, that entire intro was just "We are super mad, but we are going to call you guys as even more mad so it makes us seem normal." 29:30 You likely are just remembering Flash vs Sonic wrong. The beginning does say that speed is almost a non-factor because both characters are at an incalculable speed, but speed was still a factor because Flash can absorb kinetic energy, thus allowing him to stack speed over Sonic.

A thing people don't get about Death Battle, or VS debates in general, it's that it rarely is objective. You can interpret feats certain way or assume powers would interact in some form that gives one of the characters an advantage over the other, but the same could go the other way. It's fine if you disagree, there's no real answer anyways, and it's not like Death Battle gained has some sort of legitimacy over VS debating in general because the show's gotten popular or because they have a cool animation to go along with their argument. Just try to enjoy it, and keep being awesome you guys.

As you say, it’s mostly based on subjective interpretation. VS debating is, at it’s core, nothing more than a game with no consequences on anything. We should be having fun with it talking about branches of fiction we enjoy, not shitting on people over petty, subjective disagreements. TL;DR take a breath and chill out. No need to shit on people because of what they think about a fictional character.

Honestly, I used to get really peeved by these things too. In the end, you just need to keep in mind that there is, more often than not, no correct answer for these things. I believe Stan Lee said himself something along the lines that the writer determines the strength of a character and that strength can change on a whim. Because of this, the power levels of fictional characters can be very inconsistent and arbitrary. I’m sure if the writers crossed these characters over in any official capacity they wouldn’t hesitate to change their power levels for convenience.

Dragon Ball Heroes is...complicated. There are a couple different online shows, manga, and arcade/videogames to try to expand on the heroes lore but it's all very confusing. It's like "When everything's canon, nothing is." "Dragon ball what if" in alot of ways.

Yknow I realized something, alot of the death battle they are doing recently are of battles they did for dbx, except they're "proving dbx wrong" by having the outcome be the opposite of who won in their dbx episodes (they're episodes that are vote based and not research based) Alucard vs Dio: opposite outcome of the dbx Black atom vs apocalypse: opposite outcome of the dbx Trunks vs Silver: Never seen the dbx of it but I can only assume trunks won in the dbx

It's funny cause every VS channel has Trunks winning against Silver (most of them are vote based but still). And he would've won on Death Battle too if they used the mainline versions of the characters. But since DB decided to go with Xeno and Archie, it gave Silver his first W over Trunks.

I wish they’d watch the videos all the way to the end. I miss seeing their reactions to the next battle planned.

Silver used to play a big part in the game universe which was sadly only in Sonic 06 but they made him extremely powerful in the Rival Boss Fight in Gens even if he only used the Chaos Emerald to power himself but then in Forces, he needs Sonic's help to take down Infinite which the weirdest thing is he was insanely strong with his Psychokinesis in 06 when you first fight him. I honestly hate the 2010s so much because Silver has been treated as weak & inferior and is useless, he couldn't do anything in Gens and sucking him into a rift so easily is bs, he is clever enough to react to that but everyone else except Sonic were given horrible treatment and always depending on Sonic for everything.

I like DBZ. I like Sonic the Hedgehog. And I like the Renagade team. And right now, I am going to like the 3 of them at the same time. What a time to be alive!

I’m sure I’m probably going to get lumped into the hater category because the Renegades are probably so sick of having to read negative comments I imagine I’ll look like just another one, but in all honesty I agree with them about the outcome of this battle. I did NOT agree with them on Saitama vs Popeye, but I can see where they’re coming from. The reason I disliked that video however wasn’t because I didn’t agree with them, but because it was kind of unpleasant to watch compared to other reactions of it where people were enjoying the battle even if they didn’t agree. To be honest I felt like the same kind of energy was all over this video as well. You guys looked absolutely miserable from the start, in no small part due to all the hate you get, unjustified tho it may be imo. Still, I don’t want to watch a video where people are reacting to something because they feel like they HAVE to if they aren’t able to enjoy themselves. I enjoy this channel a lot and I enjoy everyone’s commentary as well, and I’m going to continue to watch the other content here, but I think I’m gonna give the Death Battle reactions a pass for awhile, because I don’t want to see someone forcing themselves to watch something they no longer find fun. I hope you guys won’t have to keep putting up with all the excessive negativity people keep giving you, and I look forward to the next video 😊

Their rant doesn’t even make sense. They’re telling everyone to “get over it” and “don’t get too mad over who wins”. But in both this and the Popeye fight, the winner is generally agreed to be correct by most people, but then these guys are the ones bitching about how the other guy should’ve won. And the worst part is that they don’t even give any arguments for WHY their favorite should win aside from “Well, I’ve never heard of the other guy, so he should lose because he’s not as popular”. If you’re gonna be so salty that you project it on everyone else, at least give us something interesting to talk about.

I just wish you guys had a end part on why a character should have won or lost based on your opinions, I feel like that would be a cool part of the video

Man, I knew you guys were stubborn when it came to immortal reality-warping sailor beating some bald guy, but I didn’t know the comments were STILL living rent-free in your head almost a year later. Guys, Death Battle, like it or not, isn’t a popularity contest; the debate on who the winner is, supported by good arguments and evidence, is what drives the passion in the community. Saitama isn’t gonna beat a reality warper just because you like his show more. If you don’t like debating, and can’t handle being told you’re wrong, you can always watch One Minute Melee, or DBX, or batinthesun, which ARE popularity contests, and have their own appeal.

Kind of sad they didn’t continue on to see who was next. All well, I’m sure someone will request it in the discord. The next one was one I wasn’t expecting. Then I think it’s the Halloween episode if I’m not mistaken.

I've heard "DeAtH bAtTlE HaTeS aNiMe!" so many times I've learned to naturally tune it out. Numbers don't lie. Also Saitama loses to Goku 100 times out of 100.

A draw would mean both characters dying, since one of the rules of Death Battle is it must end with a death. (I'm not an angry fannerd trying to justify the win here. I really couldn't care in this matchup)

Despite the beginning of the video feeling like a hate rant with no real direction, I really enjoyed the video guys. I'm not saying that you deserved the backlash from Popeye vs Saitama, just so we're clear that was a dick move on the DeathBattle fandoms part. I appreciate that you two (sorry, three, nearly forgot the star of the show) are more than willing to disagree and start a discussion about the results of a death battle, it's honestly refreshing since most DB watchers either agree with the creators and treat them like they're speaking the word of God or disagree to the point of being an irrational hater just for the sake of being a hater. It's so rare to find people that sit on the middle ground of the discussion table, and it's a nice change of pace.

They always complain about Dragonball deathbattle results, but they just implied they haven't even seen GT or Super, and didn't even know super dragonball heroes even existed. Which gives them less of a leg to stand on to complain. "I know GT is garbage because that was done without Toriyama", so you admit you haven't actually seen it to make the decision for yourself on if it is bad or not. Rolling your eyes about Beat being a descendant of GT Goku, you haven't even seen GT and didn't know Dragonball Heroes existed yet decided to actively hate on it anyway. Plus seeing GT Goku and Pan and calling them Kid Goku and Videl.....I think these guys are fake dragonball fans.

Nate admitted in a previous DB death battle that he has watched Super, although how much I question given how he forgot or misinterpreted that stuff. Although I am shocked he never heard of Super Dragon Ball Heroes

You guys seem miserable watching these, so I gotta ask why you continue to do these reactions if you're not enjoying yourselves?

Do any of you watch Death Battle Cast?

I'm just going to say it, the next fight is going to be fucking stupid as all hell cause of the characters they picked for it so I am not at all sure if you guys are going to want to see it to begin with.

The thing about the time traveling argument being fuckey is kinda not a factor given they directly mention that Silver's telekinesis can disrupt and destroy advanced technology in the past. Also, the reason why they mentioned possible win scenarios is that it wasn't a simple matchup in the slightest. The goal is to find who has the most likely win scenarios. Trunks has some given the nature of his powers and base Silver being objectively weaker, but Super Silver has far more safe and likely win scenarios that Trunks lacks reliable counters to.

Archie comics were... a Time- They had interesting Idea's and character Idea's but also some REAL Stupid ones...

I play Dragon Ball Heroes on a weekly basis, it's really fun!

Honestly a better ending for this would be for silver and trunks to break time so much they get stuck in a white void where they call truce and its a draw

Screw those hateful people who are still mad at the past Death Battle with Saitama vs. Popeye in which I didn’t notice at the time because I didn’t see anything wrong with your reactions on it before somehow or something. Also, I agree with Nick about the Archie Sonic stuff and it’s very valid that Time Cop Trunks in Xenoverse and SDBH is kinda lame, even for me as a longtime DBZ fan and whatnot though where it’s just deadass mutual to even comprehend any bullshit on the multiverse and time travel stuff with anyone based on certain timely characters or whatever. I don’t know if I’m making any logical sense here, but I do like some of your reactions on some random stuff sometimes so keep up the good works and whatever ok 👌.

personally as someone who doesn't care for a lot of death battle episodes, i absolutely adore this one because silver deserves so much better than he gets, and it's just so nice to see him shown in this good a light for once. the fact that they managed to make his infamous line of "It's no use" as badass as it was in the final scene, is already cause to consider this the best death battle yet. i will agree their logic had some faults though, they're very inconsistent in general and it's why i don't watch the majority of death battles

I understand a lot of where you guys are coming from and I am going to be respectful on your thoughts. I really like DragonBall, I really like Sonic. I was rooting for Silver and am happy that he won. I will likely always be a bigger Sonic fan than DB fan. If Trunks did win, I would have been happy still, maybe just a little less so. For Renegades, thank you for your reactions, I will continue to watch and support you, and I am very sorry people are constantly dumping verbal garbage on you. If you guys read this, just know that there is a MAJOR Sonic fan out there who likes you guys and respects your thoughts and opinions, whether or not they are different from mine.

Bruh the anger at what is basically an assured win is insane- The Xenoverse is a lower level of infinity then the Archie Comics. Infinite moments in infinite universes in a finite amount of timelines. The time-scrolls guarantee that it WILL be finite in its own way. While Archie Comics has infinite moments in infinite universes in infinite timelines, all of which are a part of a multiverse of multiverses. Trunks Scales to Infinity Squared. Archie Silver scales to Infinity Cubed. Also, he can redirect a super-sonic level of power-blasts with ease. So all of the Ki abilities Trunks has can be redirected. It’s no contest. And it sounds like you guys are just really pissed off that the furry who is a full level of infinity stronger then your half alien won. Because… it’s sonic? Idk man, that rant at the start made me think “oh boy here comes the hate” because you weren’t going to allow yourself to give an inch on your own logic in favor of the logic the video is presenting. Your the kinda guys who think Saitama should beat Popeye because “Saitama is the strongest and can punch through time.” Even though Popeye has Toon Force so powerful he beats up his own animators. …. OH WAIT- That WAS your opinion! …. Guys, I love the channel, but you are some stubborn fucks. You never give an inch, and so it just makes AMAZING videos like Silver vs Trunks a horrible time because you won’t allow the videos logic to supersede your own.

This is getting to the point where the DEATH BATTLE fandom is getting worse than the actual fandoms who are fighting. Less and less people want to react to them because so many people get pissed off as to what their opinions are, regardless on who wins.

You guys have good opinions but when it comes to db y'all take it personal. Db has had its share of wins they were even in a winning streak for sometime. Hell vegeta whooped shadows ass. This fight specifically trunks lost because silver had counters. You can remove his speed advantage and he'd still win. Im neither a sonic or db fan I just love death battle.

Why is the Death Battle Logo covering the video square? It prevents you from seeing what the renegades are reacting to and kind of ruins the experience of watching the video.

I agree that people should let go and move on, the Renegades watch and comment, calling them names, and antagonizing them is most likely to get attention, and it's more likely the opposite will happen. Also if the Renegades are seeing this, I may not donate and such, bit I got your back in this. 👍

The thing with immeasurable speed is well a lot of characters can reach that point. Power scaling and vs debating is fully on what the person believes. Immeasurable speed is exactly what it sounds like. Ways characters can reach that point is by moving in stopped time like silver did and time traveling with speed alone like how a bunch of comics characters can do like flash, superman, thor ect. There are a lot more speeds like infinite speed and irrelevant speed. For one to win a vs debate you need to put out a claim that no one can argue with. On top of that people can ask for low balls , what's most consistent and high balls at which people can argue about that. Death battle tries to argue the character at their most powerful which a lot of people argue with because sometimes they don't really do that. Like in scarlet witch vs zatanna they left out a super big feat for Wanda, the house of imagination feat would of got her the win. On top of that in black Adam vs apocalypse they left out the time the living lighting knocked himself out of the speed force which is a giant feat. They also don't go in to dimensional tiering which is headache in itself.

We do be entitled to our OWN opinions. And Stan Lee even said it’s pointless to debate cause the writer basically has complete control so…

Death Battle doesn’t hate anime like you guys seem to love to preach. Anime doesn’t always win, simple as that. Hell, Trunks *was* gonna win if it was normal trunks vs silver but it was such a stomp they decided to do the more interesting fight/debate. Also the only draws have been for joke fights.

I dont really upload videos on youtube but you maybe able to disable comments on a video, unless thats a "kids" video only

The death battle after this one, is ALOT dumber, so dont worry boys (dumber as in similar to randy savage vs koolaid man) Edit: i do recommend lessening to the song by itself though, it was AWESOME
