Hi Ed, Welcome to the KZread modeling community. You have a great kit there and all the aftermarket is going to make it really nice. I'm just starting the 1/350 version of the same model. Like you, I looked at a lot of paint colors. I decided on the Vallejo Blue Gray 71.109 for the main part of the ship. It's just slightly lighter and more blue than the one you picked. I don't know if you are subbed to any other guys that build ships, but I can recommend a few for you to look at. Modelkit Stuff, Oz Scalemodeling, Ron Calverley, Hibbo's Model Bench, The Midwest Model Shop and The Model Shed are all a bunch of great guys. Thanks for sharing. Have a great day. Jeff

Hello Ed! Just finished an M1 Abrams tank model and am currently working on a wooden doll house for my granddaughter. My next project is the Tamiya 1/350 USS Missouri (circa 1991), so I need some ideas about ship building since it's been 45+ years since I built a model ship. Hey bud! Thank you so much! Yes the USS Missouri is a beautiful ship. It was a toss-up for me between the Missouri or the Arizona. I chose the Arizona but the Missouri will be my next build. Thank you for subscribing.

My first model was Revell's 1/425 Arizona. Since then, I've built several battleships in small 1/700 and a couple in large 1/350. 1/200 would be my dream build if I had the room for one.

HI ED,name is Jerry and i"m going to be starting to get a model website going soon, I had a couple of great uncles that were on the arizona during pearl harbor but they are resting. The next ship that i want to build is the trumpter 1/350 USS IOWA bb 62 i have been building models since the 1970"s till today,make it right ED you are building a memorial for the young boys that were on it.

I have to be honest with you. You don't know how to make a video. Very poor lights. Wrong camera positioning. Organization and preparation not present. Very small space to show the kit. I couldn't watch for more than a few minutes.
