    Ohhh! George....you've committed the cardinal sin! The Union Jack on up-side-down! 9:49 on the front.....I've known guys that have spent time in the guradroom for such a sin! Cracking build & great tutorial nonetheless......I'll be buying my one......

    Hi Justin. Thanks for picking in this up. I just checked the box artwork and you are absolutely right. But to my defence, the instructions are wrong and they tell you to put it the way I did. Unfortunately I cannot upload image to show you this part of the instructions. Anyway good spot.

    Agree, it is quite awesome and great display piece. I think I am not 100% satisfied of how mine came out (quite monotone).

    Great job! I like that you used only the kit parts with some minor exceptions, no EXPENSIVE aftermarket stuff. I like 👍. Excellent example. I hope mine looks half this good. 😉

    Thanks man. I hate to spend money to aftermarket as well. On the other hand I try to scratch build stuff or use parts from another kit to make it more interesting.

    Thanks for the feedback. I agree with you, and to be honest I always try to sand all pin marks and seemlines. These must get away my attention.

    Good evening. I know it's an old video and it's been a long time, but I want to ask you about one thing. Have you used any weathering in this model ?

  • @GeorgeModellingforBeginners

    @GeorgeModellingforBeginners

    10 ай бұрын

    Yes I have but quite mildly. Just did a pinwash with black wash and at the end I sprayed with Buff colour in order to simulate dust (it was bad idea). If you are a beginner, I would recommend to go light on weathering as it can ruin the model.

    @@GeorgeModellingforBeginners and you didnt use some oil paint dots? Because your model is a realistic littile white like it was standing on the rain many times

    @acidjam8330 no oil filters. Just some enamel washes. I tried to create some streaks but it is hard with enamels.

    The kit is great considering its age with crispy details and lot of parts. I had no issues to put it together. The only thing I would change was the camo colours. No very good contrast.

    First of all you can use any light colour for the highlights as long as it is flat. I would avoid a gloss undercoat as the colour afterward might not stick well. As far as the main colour, i used Tamiya XF-62 olive drab. In the hindsight I would thin it with yellow as it came out quite dark.
