Hello Starting soon same model ,glad you showing the progress of your build. Did you perhaps washed all the parts before painting ? For some manufactures it’s a most while for others isn’t. When you find time your answer will be appreciated . Thanks and have a pleasant week 👍

Hey bud! Yes, I always wash all the parts prior to building. I just put all the spru's in a sink full of warm soapy water and give them a light wash then let them air dry. Thank you so much for watching and commenting!

Hi Ed! Great progress so far. I agree on rivet counting; just say "NO!" This is supposed to be fun, LOL. By the way, what time period is this version of Sovremenny? I've gone searching for pics online of the real thing and there are several different color schemes, including one with red decks.

Hey Patrick, The main deck is metal grey and the upper decks are a red according to the color call out in the instructions for the 956 type. Thank you so much for watching bud! Have a great week my friend.
